Easily agreeable upon everyone, Lapis is the strongest boss in the entire game (if you don't cheat). Lapis is encountered at the very top of Mt. Dhini, where the heroes first met the Soren. Just run around a little bit up there after the cutscene with the Soren and you're bound to run into Lapis.
When first encountering Lapis, the player will ALWAYS be ambushed. Lapis will use the move called Lapis Wave. It makes all the heroes immediately have 0/0 MP, that way all Seru/Ra-Seru magic is invalid. Of course, there's a glitch to get it back...But then it makes the battle no fun and defeats the purpose on challenging Lapis. Try using the Luminous Jewel, Light Egg, or Light Talisman and you'll halve the damage done by Lapis to the corresponding character - considering Lapis is an enemy with the attribute, "Light."
If you really want to defeat Lapis fairly and legitimately, it is best to wait until all three heroes are at LEAST level 50...Otherwise you'll have some trouble fighting it! it's not impossible to beat at a lower level, but certainly isn't easy.
