It's Official: I dislike Lucifer the Most

Out of all the enemies in this game, Lucifer in Nivora Ravine has always been my biggest pain in the butt. It loves to spam that ridiculously high-damage move 'Cross Beam' as well as block entire combos. Just last night I went outside after defeating the Delilas Family so I could level up a few before Koru (I was only LV. 24 for Vahn and Gala, Noa was LV. 22) and encountered 2 Lucifers and 1 Lava Face. I hadn't healed up from before yet so I was low on health with everyone.

Gala had the speed chain on and I killed the Lava Face with an Electro Thrash/Battering Ram combo, then Vahn and Noa double-teamed a Lucifer to take that down. I decided I could take out the last Lucifer no prob with all three still alive, even though low on health. Gala attacked first and had his whole Bull Horns combo blocked. Then Vahn had his Tornado Flame/Power Punch combo blocked. I didn't think it was possible, but then after I spirited with Noa and attacked him with a Hurricane Kick - the darn thing blocked the ENTIRE hyper art! I've never seen the whole Hurricane Kick get blocked before, let alone all three combos at the same time! Anyway, after that he cross-beamed Noa and knocked her out though I managed to kill him before he did the same to Gala and Vahn.

Anyone else have problems with this darn guy? Every once in a while I'll get unlucky and face a Lucifer who likes to spam cross beam and kill Vahn before I make it through his tunnel due to me being careless/risky with HP.

lol yes, I've had lots of problems with these creatures...It's actually the Verial that gives me problems honestly. When in Vidna and the mist enters...That's when I hate fighting because the monsters are all so strong there ><

Cross-beam is the worse, just like you're saying. I also hate their "GRAHHHHHHHHHHH" sound they make when they smack you with their fist, lol.

I like it when I fight a Lucifer and I see 'Stole the Magic Water' come up on the screen.

Yeah I don't like this Seru at all either, though I never have issues with enemies blocking my attacks since I always wear Target Chains. All incarnations of this beast are just simply a pain in the butt to defeat with that stupid move cross beam. Every time I first encounter a Curry Devil in Octam I kind of get a tad bit nervous myself. (And I also laugh at it's name too. xD I guess they're devils who steal people's curry... I dunno what they were thinking when they named it but it could be a weird translation issue. xD)

This is actually the first REAL monster to give me issue, besides the bulls in the Islands. Ugh, I remember these destroyed me (Gala) in Nivora Ravine. They were awful.



But I also enjoyed the challenge they offers. Gala was the only character I had issues with during it, and they offered me a chance to actually get better with him, so I can't say they're completely useless and that I "hate" them.


Still not as annoying as Gilliums.
