cuz this game is TOO air tight...

Close up any loose ends, create more lore for hardcore fans to get into, open the way for sequels, etc

Zuppy makes a good point (first shift press of the day thats how much i respect you zupster lol.)
I think making a remake, getting it publized you know the name more out there then they oringinally did would be great for the remake and any future titles. Plus we can tweak the ending to open it to one of our original ideas to bring them back

we COULD go ahead and create legaia 3 and offer 1 and 2 for download... like banjo kazooie nuts and bolts on the xbox360... they offer the first and second if you dont like the third

I still think the reboot would be the best choice. I just think they could change/add what they needed to in order to make a sequel actually work better, including a way to bring Seru back
