Well, some of the numbers can be multiple users. However, the counter is supposed to be basing visits off unique visits - aka, 1 ip = 1 visit. But if you visit the page so many days afterwards, it'll count you again... May just be because your ip changes if it's set to dynamic by the ISP.

So yeah, we may have had at least half the visits the number shows us... No telling how many are bots and how many are real people.
