You could always just make it to where you can enable/disable gore. That way it's still tasteful to those who don't want gore.

Well, like I said, I don't want to see gore and guts and all that stuff just for its own sake. I don't have a problem with gore out of principle, but I think it needs to be done in a manner that's not just about showmanship, but instead is used sparingly and as tastefully as possible.

As I said elsewhere regarding curse words, the less they are used, the more impact they have when they are used, simply out of shock value. I think the same principle applies here.
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

I agree with Night I suppose. I think gore and such would just make the game feel cheap. Most games are about being flashy and that is not Legaia. We loved it for the Story, so all the bells and whistles should be coming from great writing/environments/game-play instead of how pretty the blood stains are >.>

And K37SK, although I do agree with your statement about the direction of games today, I have to say I'm tired of games that have more colorful environments than characters =(.

I dislike all these 'new, modernized' video games... I prefer the 90's classics like n64 etc
Those the Games with actual plot!

Hey just the other day I was baby sitting some brat for munnies and that's when he starts playing mario n64 on his dsi
So as a 90's kids I walk over and ask "ohh Mario n64, that the one I play on my nintendo 64 every once and awhile; can try it?"
And he responds:
"whats a nintendo 64? Is that like some type of old playstation?"
[me: O.O I don't want to live on this planet anymore...]

I never came so close to killing myself...
it really do be like that tho

Which is why legaia is best used on a ps/2
Would any body else feel comfortable play legaia on SOMETHIMG else, AND HAVING TO SEE SERU BLOOD in a rated m version?
Plus doesn't M usually come with 'Sexual Themes' I don't think I have yet to see a game without that in the rated M warnings...
All I'm saying is legaia never became so popular because of the fight, it was more or less the plot... The rest was the fighting STYLES and the unique battle system...

Now that I think back, I should have killed the boy.... But that's bad for business...
it really do be like that tho

Just put a seru on his back, the mist will take care of him...

in any case, reds above post says alot about why it shouldn't be an 'M' game.

If it is rated M then i beleive it should be for the some gore the violence and the suggestive themes and the alcohol. Not to mention Sol is the most decadent place on the planet. I dont meant tossing in a buttload of sexuality in it im just saying we should make it a very dark and creepy game compared to what it was.
send link of pic or drawing/sketch and ill see about upgrading it or modifying it. just pm me link here
