I know but it is native code for the playstation. It comes from a Header file (.h) with many of the playstation's includes:

Code: Select all

#include <kernel.h>
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <libgte.h>
#include <libgpu.h>
#include <libgs.h>
#include <libetc.h>
#include <libcd.h>
#include <libsnd.h>
#include <libspu.h>
I got the code form the PsyQ Dev Kit for Playstation One games.

sys/types.h and kernel.h are not playstation includes, they're unix header files. However, I'm not familiar with the rest of those so I'll say they're probably indeed PlayStation header files. Does this dev kit include those libraries?

Yeah I just pasted the top of the file for you. And yes, they do have them in the SDK of course :)

Unrelated to the original topic, but since it's related to the topic of audio & music, I figured I'd post it here.

Some evidence posted suggests that there are two versions of the regular battle theme - one that plays when you're in the Mist, and one when you're in a Mist-free zone.

Would someone be willing to do a bit of programming / hacking magic to confirm / deny that this is the case?
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

I've already ripped all sound/music files from the game and I remember many unused tracks/effects. I can't recall what it sounded like but hrmm...I should dig that up again.

I wouldn't mind hearing the unused tracks, TBH.

I'm on a new computer and have to get all my Legaia programs from the backup. Although I know I've also heard them from easily found rippers of Playstation games. I'm surprised none of you have one yet.

It'll probably be quicker than waiting for me to get around to it :) I've been preoccupied with building a game and haven't even reinstalled anything on my new PC.
