We still go to space a fair amount, but not much further than low-earth orbit on the ISS.

As technology advances, older things get cheaper. I imagine that the more space exploration advances, the cheaper traveling will be as well. Only makes sense.

Whether that's in our lifetime, though.... I'm not making a call on that. Guess we'll see.

In other news, forums are back online apparently after some MySQL upgrade that the web host provider emailed me about 2 days before it was to happen (and I don't check my email enough to know it was sent to me)

Yeah, they did an upgrade at the very last second, which I didn't expect (since I don't check my emails all that often)... But the upgrade didn't break anything, so that's good news. If it had, I'd be kinda screwed since I have some other personal sites hosted on the same webhost and they have some encryption management. Would have lost a lot of stuff if it had went south without backups, lol.
