PAX South

This upcoming January kicks off with PAX South, in San Antonio, TX. I already got my 3 day passes out there and would be interested in knowing whether any other members here are headed out that way!! It'd be awesome to hang out for the days there!

I'll be there! 3 day pass for me too. They're going to announce some stuff tomorrow, so hopefully it'll be cool.

Awesome!! Now we have to meet up! I won't be there on Friday (unless I get off work real early), but I'll definitely be there on Saturday and Sunday. And I am *praying* they don't try and pull the "build your own gaming pc and keep it if it works" thing on Friday or else I'm going to cry.

I'll be taking Friday off, so I'll be there all three days. They have a "Build your own PC" event? Sounds awesome, I could use an HTPC. They posted the schedule recently here: http://south.paxsite.com/schedule

There was last year but it wasn't on the schedule and I don't see it on this one. It was hosted by Intel I believe. Unfortunately, I didn't get to it because I couldn't show up to PAX on Friday... Which is why I am praying it's on Saturday this time because I'll be working on that Friday at my new job and since it's during the very first week, I can't ask to get off early lol

How was it last year? Do people just do stuff on the schedule? I would guess there's advertising booths and such. I'll probably end up trying some of the table top or console tourneys and get owned.

Personally, I did very few things on the schedule. I looked around all the booths all day, bought a few new badass D&D dice, and played a bunch of games. It was really nice because there weren't a bunch of annoying kids, お腹が空いた・・・ girls, or plain-stupid people. Well, there were a FEW but not many. About 95% of the crowd were mature and fun geeks.
