Re: DBZ
Looks good, but it's gonna progress sooooo slowly....
I'm just going to forget about it til it reaches episode 40 or so.

Re: DBZ
Yeah, I have NO idea what they were thinkin' in rehashing alla that. I thought they'd SKIP the actual fight and move on ta make the story progress faster (though a lot of fans were salty about Vegeta dancing fer Beerus or whatever he did originally).
Quite frankly, not happy with the progress of the story. It's still pretty early though and I've purposely skipped all the episodes to date (from like episode 3 and up), so I'll probably write more on it in a few months, when there's actual substance fer me ta use against it.

Re: DBZ
Okay so the series has moved on a bit and now there's more fuel, so woo.
I take back what I said. Apparently Toei is chippin' in money ta have each fight be different from the movie, bringing in new scenes and what not. Not a bad move.
I started playing DBZ Battle of the Gods, and so far it's not living up to the hype.
I really wish I had done some investigating before jumping on the sale wagon. Cuz this is structured as a co-op game, meaning iz hard and annoying as balls ta play single player.
The fighting system has a new-ish interface so that's nice. The lack of a ki power up button is irritating though, you have to sorta unlock your ki as the fight goes on, and that's really annoying. Still, it's different and I'll give them props for that.
I'll write a thorough review when I'm done with both things.

Look man, I'm not even people. Reading and writing correctly is a realm beyond my reach.Zup wrote:

I was expecting a time waster fun lil distraction fer 8 bucks and it couldn't even deliver on that. Beat and got S rank on the whole thing in under 15 hours. I only spent 8 bucks on it tho so iz all gud.Iunno what you were expectin', man. DBZ games've been 質 for the longest time now.
Actually mixed it up with Xenoverse cuz I don't pay attention to anything anymore and bought it on mah Vita.
7/10 even the characters suck more than usual. Beerus was ruined in the only level he was on.
Haven't tried the online stuff yet and considering dbz fans are among the most obnoxious, I don't want to. From what I've heard, the people on there are idjits that pick the biggest baddest characters fer their parties (which the game actually advises against doing cuz of the penalty system they have fer usin' the clearly op characters like Vegito; probably the best part of the game).
it really do be like that tho
Re: DBZ
Xenoverse's MMO thing has potential but within the game itself it's super botched'n the combat plays like dogshit so it doesn't amount ta much.
At this point, I want DBZ games ta:
1) Throw the "play through the entire Dragon Ball saga!" story modes away. They're garbage and they keep gettin' worse and worse each iteration
2) Instead, focus the singleplayer content entirely on lettin' the player make their own character'n 質. You can have a made-up story if you want. Your writing's 質 but whatever. It could move things along at least.
3) Stop encouraging more Saiyan 猿が大好きだよ. Add some new races and don't tie stats'n playstyles to 'em. Let players adjust the character ta their liking
4) Fill it with content and keep filling it with content. New costume items, races, moves, etc. You can patch 質 in or even overprice it as DLC idc
5) Put alla the OG characters in the multiplayer for Vs. matches'n 質. First focus on a good spread across the entire series with the main faces. 猿が大好きだよ off with your Cui and Salza'n 質. Nobody gives a flyin' 猿が大好きだよ about them.
6) Continue ta add in new characters via DLC or patches. Don't frontload the roster during your development time so we end up with 40 variations'a Goku, 30 Vegetas, and some alien 猿が大好きだよ nobody plays as
7) Stop makin' the combat worse with each entry. You can still keep it simple since its an animoo game but make it smooth ta control'n add flashiness. Stop gettin' lazy.
Basically just make an MMORPG where I don't have ta play with other people + a fighting game that gets continuous updates

Re: DBZ
Sadly I don't see any of that happening any time soon cuz DBZ fans will literally throw money at these guys ta make up any bullcrap.
That being said, what I DID like about Battle of Z was:
- Retry penalties (when you used too strong a characters--cuz strong characters shouldn't MAKE mistakes).
- Kaiju fights were hella fun. Also love how they can almost always one-shot your dumber party members.
- The occasional all out brawl fights where they bring in a butt ton of enemies for you to fight. Last level where you fight every single character, building up ta Vegito after fighting 60 or so people at once was hella entertaining.
- Actually loved the co-op game. Gave the game more depth that just charge-hit-charge-dodge-podge-special move-win. Gotta stay sharp, help out the healer, and revive people if necessary. Cuz if the party member dies on you and yer out of retries you lose. So gotta make sure they're all good even while doing your own business or else you could be hit with a sudden mission fail. Not too great a boost from yer typical DBZ game but iz certainly different fighting 4 enemies at once. I dig it.
- The different fighting styles is dope too (melee, ki blaster, support, interference, hybrid fighters, etc). Makes me think twice about who I'm throwin' into the party.
Now what I despised was:
- Those battle royal fights lost all potential cuz they nerf the characters in them. Enemies that take two minutes ta beat are wiped away in less 2 hits. I get that due to the amount of strong fighters they're holdin' back a bit to give the players a chance, but I also don't care. I want these people at full power when I annihilate them. And if there's 60 of them just as strong then even better.
- Not enough Kaiju/giant robot fights.
- Focusin' waaay too much on the multiplayer stuff and completely screwed us over on the single player mode. Friggin finished the game in 13 hours and S ranked everything, unlocked every character, and unlocked every stage 2 hours after.
- I don't friggin know why the friggin the the the the they friggin added a level/rank up system if it does virtually nothing. It doesn't change anything for the main character. The CPU rank up is a purdy good move tho. They could've taken it further by having characters with low CPU ranks deliberately disobey direct orders til you level them up instead of having them ignore you when yer back's against the wall.
There's tons more I could add, but I'm pooping and this game really ain't worth it.
