Sounds like a good'un. I remember dinking around with how Nighto "decides" what action to do but I can't remember if I took notes on where an enemy/boss decides in memory. Either way, I can find it by doing that or hacking his health to 1 and breakpointing the reads on his health. I might be able to do that tonight before my friends show up.

Ok, got your answer. JuggyCort does the following in his AI to get to Doomsday:

1. if random 25% chance, do Ultra Charge.
2. if charged up from "Ultra Charge", do Final Crisis.
3. if last turn was Doomsday, skip (It does this an interesting way by making sure it can only be cast on odd number of turns so it can't do twice in a row.)
4. 50% chance to check for doomsday!
5. if mp > 255 (cast cost of Doomsday)
5. If hp < half of max (aka 32,767) cast Doomsday.

I guess that gives you a compounded chance of 18.75% to cast Doomsday per turn that he has half hp. But on odd turns, it's 37.5%. That's the short explanation then :)

I'm curious if you can find out anything about Dohati's "size" mechanic as well; that's not a big deal since that attack can be worked around, but I'm legitimately curious from a more academic standpoint.

It's on my large back-log of interests but since it has no real purpose and a lot of work to complete, I don't plan on getting to that any time soon.

Meth, you are amazing for finding answers to these long standing mysteries.

Heres one nobody asked about: Whats the deal with Aluru's annihilation?

Also I didn't quite understand what you concluded about the AP efficiency of the arts. It looked like you said that Hyper Arts are the most AP efficient, but that Miracle Arts give you the most damage in one turn?

And yes, insight into that AI would be interesting :D

Aluru huh? You mean like chance of instant kill? I forget how Aluru works. Wonder if it's like Nighto, the 1/8th chance. That's something I can look into when I get back from vacation.

For AP efficiency, I was comparing for damage per AP spent. So if you were worried about how to best spend your AP, hyper arts are the way to go. However, over a long fight you would have to see what does the best damage in the long run.

Got back from vacation and looked into Aluru. It's a little different than Nighto since Aluru always does the same move for damage or death.

The game rolls a success chance based on Aluru's level.

Lvl1: 50%
Lvl2: 53.33%
Lvl3: 57.14%
Lvl4: 61.54%
Lvl5: 66.67%
Lvl6: 72.73%
Lvl7: 80.00%
Lvl8: 88.89%
Lvl9: 100%

The whole formula is as follows:
if ( rng % (17 - level) < 8) Annihilate.

I also curiously encountered a flag check for something near the map save. Seems certain things don't give the magic experience when casted. So far I've only seen the Muscle Dome set this flag but I wonder if there are other places too.

I remember from the V-JUMP a portion saying that the Lippian Flute has a 1/128 success rate for its Ultimate Death attack and that it also works on bosses. Do you know if this is the same for the NA version or if it was changed?

What does that do? Ive never used the flute before.

Also what about Juggernaut's Dark Eclipse? Do the first two hits do physical damage while the last is magical? And whats the element?

Cort's ESM is Dark Element. The Juggernaut magic from the Evil Talisman is non-elemental.

It's also worth noting that Cort's ESM has two weak hits, followed by a double-strength hit. For the Evil Talisman, all three hits are roughly equal in power.

Source: Have glitched to ESM via Juggernaut Room skip, as well as gotten it legit via L99.

Meth962, if you're still around, I'm curious as to what you might be able to figure out about positioning of characters and enemies on the battlefield. For instance, where serus are summoned relative to the position of the target and the summoner.

This is important for Mushura and Theeder in particular.
