Dude was beast. Assertin' his dominance and initiative and all that in one episode. So proud.

Varrick locks in that spot at the top'a the characters lists

Dude's stapled himself as the series' main source of comedic relief (meaning Bolin's stepped down, thankfully). Dude's also got some hilarious quotes:

"Whatever happened to that guy?! Oh he Varrick'd himself because some girl Zhu Li'd him!"

"Oh c'mon! Zhu Li once carried me 20 miles in one day, and that was after she sprained her ankle!" (or he said something like that).

Korra's eye expression game was on point this episode, 'specially when it came to Wu

Glad a good amount of people noticed. It was grrrreat.


What the the the the the is up with everyone questioning the Avatar yo fire boi and glove girl if mah bae korra say wu is that way then the pompous pathetic prince of pure nothing is that way you garbage breathed baboons.

And c'mon Mawko. I been givin' you praise for turnin' your garbage status around, but then comes the train fight and Asami does better than you.

Eh. Book's half done anyways. That last episode made him out to be pretty annoying (Asami too); so whiney and stereotypical. I've let go of any chance of him getting better as a character.


"You don't get to leave for 3 years and then tell me how to run my life."

Alright, take the PMS attitude off along with the face paint, and take it easy girl.















Also when did Asami get so tall.

No he was fine overall. Him lashing out at Wu and having Wu respond in a tail-between-the-legs way's a good show of their relationship and how Wu really feels about him. That and the lashing is justified by stress due to his current predicaments plus Korra essentially keepin' him and Bolin in the dark for years while they were worried about her, while Asami got to stay in the loop. The fact that he questions Korra's Wu-finder radar was a good touch as well.

He's a much better character than he's been lately. I could do with just a few more scenes/lines and havin' him not be that lame in a fight, but he's fine.

Whiny, sure, why not. But stereotypical doesn't apply.
