Re: [FORUM DOLLARS] Math questions!
How about instead of that you just answer the question; I'm fine with you getting it, but I'm waiting on the actual answer.

Re: [FORUM DOLLARS] Math questions!
Just a guess but the possibilities are ex.
Ticket # winners
1,2 1,3 1,4 etc. to 246,246(since 5 #s don't matter) Both prizes have the same probability since we don't know which one is called first. However they can't be the same number either(246,246=invalid) so 246*246-246(The 246 possibilities of the same #) bah that's the same answer that U_name gave.

Re: [FORUM DOLLARS] Math questions!
There are 246 C 2 ways to determine who the other two winners are. For each of these combinations, there are 5! = 120 ways to distribute the five prizes, such that each winner gets one of the distinct prizes, so there are [ (246 * 245) / 2 * 120 = 3,616,200 different combinations
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.
Re: [FORUM DOLLARS] Math questions!
Spot on as always ^o^
Next question!!
Becuase there are no base-40 calculators on the internet (Or are there?), I'm going to ask you to convert the following information to base-40. The following characters are what we use in base-40. Do NOT show your work (to prevent from others figuring out how to answer it and getting "easy" solutions). After all the answers are put in, I'll explain how to get the results.
Number -> Base-40 representation
0-9 -> 0-9
10-35 -> A-Z
36, 37, 38, 39 -> !, $, ^, &
Each problem is 5G. Do not answer all of them in one post. One answer per day per person.
Note: I want the full integer value. In other words, just the resulting value from your calculations, not the series of calculations that you may have done. You will need to use a calculator that can handle large integers (such as Windows calculator).
Convert these TO base-40:
1.) 42 (Answered: Here)
2.) 115 (Answered: Here)
3.) 283572 (Answered: Here)
4.) 293859235236333 (Answered: Here)
Convert these FROM base-40:
5.) $K (Answered: Here)
6.) IEA!932 (Answered: Here)
7.) AO&J42WA^!K (Answered: Here)
8.) ILOV3L3GAIA!! (Answered: Here)
