Re: Speed: Turn Order and Escapes
Well, the enemies don't usually seem to run from me unless they are alone and unless I'm at a much higher level than they are. You should probably use Gobu Gobu again. He runs pretty often.

Re: Speed: Turn Order and Escapes
Enemies that steal your stuff also seem more likely to run after they've made off with your goods.
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.
Re: Speed: Turn Order and Escapes
I thought that as well, but I was level 31, and he stole a Magic Leaf in the second round. The Slime duplicated himself until there were 3 of them and then many rounds passed with nothing.
So I hacked all their life to 1 hp and many more rounds passed.
Then decided I should kill off the slimes because I remember Gobu's running more often, especially since he stole my item.
So a few rounds of the Gobu by himself at 1 hp and he still didn't run. I came and posted here that they weren't running away, then the very next round he did

Is that what... the second or third time that you've posted "He ain't running", and then he ran the next round?
Only tangentially related note, but I know that Slimes never duplicate past 4 total enemies in the whole encounter, including those already defeated. Is there some sort of flag or hardcoded limit that makes that happen?

Re: Speed: Turn Order and Escapes
Yes, the battle only reserves room for 4 enemies in memory. When an enemy "dies", they remain in memory however, taking up that slot. I believe that is why they never duplicate more. Their data is still used for exp, G, item drops, and funny enough for when you run away (even though they're dead).

Might have to use this formula for adnaruf
Not to be off-topic from this, but is there a max number of enemies per battle? Considering the slimes can multiply themselves and all.

Yes, it never goes above 4, including enemies previously in the battle but which have already been killed.
As it turns out, the Bees battle is the only one in the game that starts off with 4 enemies; every other fight is 3 or fewer at the start of the fight.

That, or I just read what you said literally three posts above.

I'm a little worried he's gonna start making multiplying enemies now...K73SK wrote:Might have to use this formula for adnaruf
