What are some games you've always wanted to play, but for some reason or another never got a chance to. Maybe you didn't have the console for it at the time, or your PC wasn't better or you bought the game years after it came out and just let it sit in its shrink wrap?

I've always wanted to play:
Valkyrie Profile
Star Ocean 3
Breath of Fire 3
StarCraft 2
Xenoblade
Rogue Galaxy
Shadow of the Colossus

Just some off the top of my head. Maybe I'm just terrible at playing games.

Skyrim was on this list for the longest time until I finally got it
Back a long time ago God of War 3 was on this list because I didn't get a PS3 until late in the game, but finally got one and borrowed the game from a friend (Couple years ago bought the GoW saga, 1-3 and the 2 preludes in one pack for I think 40$)
I've had a lot of games fit that scenario over the years but I don't think I currently have any that fit right now. I haven't really been checking out the new games either though.

@Van if you get a chance to play Shadow of the Colossus and Starcraft 2 I can almost guarantee you will like them. They are both very amazing and score extremely high. I could go into fangirl mode and go on and on but since I'm not a girl that would probably just waste time I won't.

I've never owned a Wii so i've always wanted to play all the Zelda and Mario games on those as well as the newish Punch Out. I've played some Wii games at parties and stuff so I've played Super Smash Bros and NEW Super Mario Bros Wii but that's about it. I really don't like the motion controls nor do i particularly like the Gamecube controller (never owned a Gamecube either).

@Van if you get a chance to play Shadow of the Colossus and Starcraft 2 I can almost guarantee you will like them. They are both very amazing and score extremely high. I could go into fangirl mode and go on and on but since I'm not a girl that would probably just waste time I won't.

I actually have the Shadow of the Colossus/ICO pack for ps3, but literally never got around to it. As for StarCraft, I spent endless hours on the first one and Brood War. Would definitely play SC2 once I get more of a capable PC.

SC2 doesn't take that great of a computer, I consider mine pretty sad it only has 4 gb Ram, 2.5 ghz dual core processor but it runs SC2 like a champ(You do need to turn settings down though I think) I tried ICO once and it wasn't really for me, it has a lonely feel just like Shadow of the Colossus has but Shadow of the Colossus makes up for that lonely feeling it has. It's a gem of a game with beautiful scenery/graphics, great gameplay, and just pretty amazing.(It's ranked #1 on best PS2 games on the top 20 I think from IGN, so that should be reason enough for you to play it.)

@SS - Well my computer is almost six, older babies. I'm hoping to get a new computer later this year though. I would feel obligated to play ICO before Shadow of the Colossus.

That's kinda surprising to me. I know you've been hyped for X so I assumed you had already played Xenoblade.

Xenosaga - I actually have not played the series even though I love KOS-MOS. I've watched quite a bit of it tho.
Just Cause 2 - It's sittin' on my PS3 right now and it has sick grappling hook tech and grappling hooks are my fetish and idk I just never touched it but I should
Suikoden - I have the first on my PS3 as well but haven't played it. I've seen a bit from my brother tho. Looks neat.

Xenogears is one of my favorite games of all time. I assume anything made by Monolith I would like.
Speaking of the three Xenosaga games, those need to be put on my list as well, despite actually owning them.
