Legit Juggernaut

If it has anything to do with the word Seru, put it here!

I'm usually level 40-45 by the end of the game. I'll get that Evil Seru Magic (or whatever they call it) someday...

I was 42 at the end of the game. It took me a long time to hit 99 legit because I only did 1-5 levels a night before falling asleep. But my game time was only 67 hours total which isn't bad.

I just saw someone post this on Youtube, don't know if it works like he says but for people that want an early Juggernaut and don't mind abusing a flaw in the game you might try this out. Even if it does work, I plan to get to level 99 anyways so I'm not even going to verify if it works.

@foxfire945 There is a secret way to get Juggernaught at a very very low level.... and here it is. First destroy the mist gen by the town then go back and the gaurds stop you when you go to go back in the room. Go to options and switch the default move speed to run. then go the the left gaurd and repeatedly hit x very fast while runnin up and to the right. If you get the right speed/angle u can glitch past the gaurds and there u go.... :D humphrey_elliot@yahoo.com for questions

I'll have to check that out and put it on the future easter egg section (which might as well also be a glitch section, lol)

I tried this earlier today, and while I can't obviously prove a negative result, I was unsuccessful in glitching past those guards. The results of my tests (and I tried this for 5-10 minutes) give me reason to be suspicious, though anyone with video evidence that demonstrates the procedure and a positive result is welcome to come forward. Just note that I am and will be skeptical.

Do you have a turbo controller? That may assist in mashing x.

In any case, I will try this out tonight. Not holding my breath, to be honest.

I don't, which is a shame. I'm not sure how fast you have to press X, so I don't know if I'm mashing too fast, if it's doable with human speed and reaction time, or if it's a turbo-only thing.

Would be nice if it's a glitch which is doable with human reflexes; having Juggernaut magic would be pretty useful at a couple points in the game for speedrunning purposes.

Holy crap this does work!!!!!!

I just managed it. With a turbo controller. I'll try to record a vid of this tomorrow with my smartphone, as I play on a ps2.

I am utterly shocked.

EDIT: If you start going straight VERY SLIGHTLY to the left of the left guard heading for middle of the doors while mashing x, you should get it. Just keep trying :)
This will be very useful to speedrunners indeed. Decrease encounter rate? Yes please. Boss killer? Even more so.

No video yet, but here's a pic for now:

That picture is giving me a broken link. Mind reuploading / checking to make sure everything is in place?

I admit that this is quite a find, but do remember that speedruns are not allowed to use turbo controllers, so it needs to be something doable by human mashing speed.

I fixed and resized the pic. And I will attempt this without a turbo controller today as well. I was not aware of that rule as I do not speedrun.
