Legaia 1 was the true Legaia atleast in my mind. They made legaia 2 as a totally different kind of game the only similarity really was that they had the same battle system. They just threw Legaia in there so they could add a little fame to the game. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a sequel I'm just saying that Legaia 1's should come first. But that's just my opinion

No one is saying they shouldn't. I want a Legaia 2 sequel as well. But I want a true Legaia 1 sequel first.

Yeah I'd like the two to be combined and bridged or whatever, but thats probably never gonna happen 
I'd like the Legaia franchise to blow up and become a huge juggernaut in the gaming industry. If that were to happen, my preferred order would be:
1. Legend of Legaia remake
2. Legaia 2 remake
3. Legend of Legaia prequel
4. Legend of Legaia sequel
5. Legaia 2 sequel
6. Legaia fighting game

Sequel needs to be at least 100 years later. This is the Legend of Legaia. So by the time there's a sequel, it needs to actually be the stuff of legend. Which means it can't be so soon that there are people alive who still remember the events of the first game directly.
Plus, it just seems like it'd be better served if there were some era of peace and prosperity that gives rise to the future conflict. Makes the plot more organic and believable.
