Having waited a few hours, Olivi decides that the berry probably isn't poisonous, and eats a few more to sate her hunger.

"It's not much, but at least it's better than nothing." She also looks at a fern on the ground, and despite it looking not-at-all edible, she feels compelled to pick it up anyway, for she has the strangest idea that it might be useful.

Olivi takes a few minutes to gaze up at the midday sky and think about her life. Instinctively, she is practicing her fighting technique as well. "What is my reason for being here?" she asks herself. "I feel so... useless! And it makes me angry just thinking about it!" By this time, Olivi has started crying. "What am I supposed to do with my life?" She cries for a few more minutes.

"I guess, though, that that's part of this game called life. We don't really know what we're here for until our time comes. And sitting here crying about it isn't going to do anything about it, either. Much as I don't like it, I won't be able to do much without first going to town and finding some leads..."

Olivi heads east to [23, T]

Olivi stops and rests after having walked for a couple of hours, and sits down on a patch of soft grass.

She eats a little bit to quell her hunger, and stops to think. "It's been several years now. Living on my own, relying only on my own strength to survive. But really, I'm still pretty young, now that I stop to think about it. Of course, in this world, age, gender, and inexperience don't mean a thing - if I can't defend myself out here, I'll die - the beasts and demons in the world don't care if I'm still just a teenager, or if I'm a girl. It just means I have to train that much more to defend myself."

Olivi stands back up and carries onward toward the town.
