I have X, and I also started with Froakie. You should get Pokebank set up. The prize for setting up Pokebank is a free Celebi. The offer will be around for a few months.

Pokemon Origins is what I always wanted the anime to be... 
\ I love the old episodes of the anime but the newer ones aren't that great IMO. 
Plus Ash Ketchum has a horrible va, and I stopped watching the anime once all the voice actors were replaced... :V
