Can you play it while it's plugged in, or will the charger no longer fit into the port?

inside the charger, the 2 little thin wires sticking up broke, it fits in perfectly. It won't charge.

So the charger is broken, not the 3DS? the the the the, that's no problem. My dog chewed through my charger and I bought another one at GameStop for $10. Check GameStop or another game specialty store for a replacement.

pawn shops and department stores with an electronic section are always a good source too but don't try to use that broken charger, it might damage your 3DS.

Charger port* sorry 3DS broke
Re: 3DS Port Broke
No idea how a 3DS works. Haven't touched one.
You mean the part on the actual handheld? I'm assumin it's essentially a DS in that you plug the charger into an outlet and the 3DS, and that fits fine, but the actual hoo-ha on the 3DS's end doesn't.
If you got bitty wire ends, they're likely cut. So power isn't flowing into the battery from the charger. You'd have to fix or replace em, if that's possible. Sodering properly's the basic fix for that but I'm guessin it's a teeny workspace.

oh well then if the charger port prongs are broken inside the 3DS then im afraid your only option is to fix it yourself with spare parts you buy, or take it to somebody who does that.JCTC wrote:Charger port* sorry 3DS broke

Re: 3DS Port Broke
depends whats all wrong with it but it shouldn't cost more than $40 given you said at the most. the real problem is finding a person who actually does the repairs, there are not that many that do it.JCTC wrote:Could be expensive
