The Soren just totally ignored Uthma, licking their lips and groping Wendy with their eyes.

Uthma turned to Mr. Virus.

Uthma: They're not listening to me, what do we do?

Mr. Virus ignored Uthma and took a few steps forward. He fired the rock at one of the Soren, and it knocked him
unconcious. He then jammed the twig into another Soren, and finished the third one with a cut across the throat.

Uthma: How in the the the the the did you just do that?

Mr. Virus picked up one of the Soren's swords, then hurled the rock at Uthma, sending him to the ground as well. The
villain strolled off, whistling a tune.

???: 野菜 you, K! 野菜 you to the the the the!

Uthma slowly got onto his feet and looked to the side to see two old but powerfully-built men emerge from the grass shrubs,
arguing with one another.

K: Well, if you weren't such an incompetent fool, you'd realize that the Vera can't be equipped with-

The two men stopped in their tracks as they saw Uthma and the tied-up Wendy.

???: Kinky

K: Who are you? Why are there dead Soren bodies here?

The one called K moved his hand tot he handle of his sword.

Uthma: It's not what you think! These Soren kidnapped us, and we had to take 'em out.

???: Well, the Soren HAVE been known to kidnap people...I haven't seen you two 'round here before, though. Where
you from?

Uthma: Vidna

K: Vidna?! Hmph, these Soren really must've gotten you then...

Uthma: Wait, where are we then?

K: Just east of the Usha Research Center

Wendy: The drug lab?

K: Only the basement level is for drugs! We work on the upper floors - Seru programming.

???: And he thinks he's better than me.

K: I AM better than you, Damien. You tried to plug in the Thunder Idol chip into the Gizam disk, that's
not going to work!

Damien: You think I don't know that NOW, after all the time's you bring it up?!?

Uthma: Hey, hey, settle down you two.

Damien shook his head.

Damien: Ya know what? I'm outta here. I'm gonna head back to the lab. I've got a Slogar Algorithm to figure out.

K: If you just plug it into-

Damien: Shut up!

K turned to Uthma, who was untying Wendy.

K: Vidna's a long ways away from here, kid. Why don't you follow us back to the lab, you can get some rest and then
head off and take the Flying Train over to Octam and head back home from there.

notice the deadly aura about him and the evil look in his eyes. He made his way to the basement where
Sise-Neg, the current lord of Ratayu, was waiting for him.

Sise-Neg: You are Redhollow?

Redhollow nodded.

Sise-Neg: You can come out now as well, Miss Sasha.

On cue, the raven assassin emerged from the shadows, flexing her hand to allow the light to strike her deadly
claws on and off again.

Sasha: This is the one I have to work with? Not bad...quite handsome

Sasha moved around Redhollow, no noise made from her feet. Her hand smoothly maneuvered around his
cloak and her eyes never left the blade of his weapon.

Sise-Neg fixed his robes and nodded.

Sise-Neg: Yes. The spies I sent declared him a truly capable fighter, and he had an...encounter with a boy named Uthma. He's
a companion of Wendy.

Sasha immediately stopped at this. She glared at her claws.

Sasha: Wendy...

Redhollow: You know that girl? She managed to ambush me.

Sasha giggled.

Sasha: That little b**** hurt you? Oh, maybe you shouldn't be my ally after all. Might get hurt again.

Redhollow: I could kill you right now-

Sise-Neg: Silence! Stop your bickering and focus on your task. I want Uthma brought here immediately. That Zenoir of his...there's
