The battle system is really fun because its hectic and some of the battles can be pretty crazy, especially in grandia xtreme because the dungeons have no save poins at all if you want to save or change equipment you have to go back to base.

Interesting. So are they typically pretty challenging games?

For me some of the battles were, you see turns are determined by a ring that both you and your enimies are on, and everybody has a starting point on the ring, and when you reach a certain point on the ring its your turn, then you can attack normally or use a cancel, if the cancel hits the enimie before he reaches the end of the ring, there turn will be cancelled, you also have specials which are basically just super moves each character has and there Awsome, regular attacks are nice if you can hit an enimies a second before it hits someone you will counter them, then theres magic which has nice effects, typical stuff you know like healing or attacking multiple enimies at once, you should go to youtube.com and look up gameplay of 1, 2, 3, and Extreme there awsome!

I would rank them, grandia1 id give a 3/10 because i got lost way to easy, grandia2 id give a 10/10 for great graphics story and GAMEPLAY, grandia3 id give a 7/10 because its great in all areas except for it takes a Long time to make money and level up, and Finnaly grandia Extreme i give a 8/10 because not having save points in dungeons suck. Altogether I give the Grandia series a solid 8/10 for exelent graphics, gameplay, and story, if you haven't yet you should definitely give this series a try its awsome.
