So where do you think the main character should be from? and on top of that how many playable characters should there be?
Red: I've seen a 10-way.

Well for me, it'd depend on what the world was like in this new story. Is it far in the future, or merely a few years ahead?

As for party members, 4 was always my favorite number, but anywhere from 3-5 was good for me. I'd like it if you could maybe have some guest characters on your party too, maybe controlled by AI only? Thinking of the war, actually, I think 3 would be good.

Well I like Big partys and small party but if we are gonna have a romance choice there should probably be around 5 or 6 and then you brought another good point how big should the battle party be

What if you could just hire soldiers or guests or mercenaries or something? But if you did that, I'd want them to actually have personalities and story dialogue and stuff, and not be dead things that fight.

So you could form your own party

Kind of Like Final Fantasy Tactics? But with personalities?

Like Final Fantasy Tactics soldiers with personalities. I'd sure hate to be the guy coming up with all their stories lol. I think that maybe an approach like Fire Emblem would work a little better if it went that way. There are specific characters you can get but when they die or run away for low HP they never return to battle. I'm not to fond of the idea of Legaia 3 going in that direction though.

I think having a battle party of three and around six possible characters is the best way to go. That has always been my favorite in RPG's and I think helps the story stick a little better than Tactics did.

I'd like a total of 6 characters (less is ok, i suppose. but more is too much, imo) with a 'battle party' of 3. You could go with 3 males and 3 females (with the MC being able to 'chase' whatever girl you want him to). Or 4 males and 2 females. Or go the 'pimp' route with 1 male (MC) and 5 females :D

Yeah i like Hiro and Lone's idea on the battle party. I was thinking a battle party of 4 with 7 or eight characters or a battle Party of 3 with 6 characters. I also think 2 or 3 females would be good but 5 would just be over doing it lol. And i like the idea of Red's: being able to swap control to a different character. But one question does come to mind will the battles be like in kingdom Hearts where they appear and you fight them on the spot, are they there the whole time and then you walk up to them to fight, or when you encounter a monster do you do that little warping thing on to a battle stage like in the original game?
