The Aeteum Chronicles: Cheese's very first game

So if you're wondering what is this, this is crap lol. Actually, I'm into working on my first game. It's Legaia-inspired so I decided to post some of my progress here and maybe some of you can post comments or any suggestions. The game is expected to be finished before or on the month of March, which is next semester. What I'm doing now is the planning part (Story, Character Sheet, Character Sketches, Project Documentation). So, get lost. JK. Yeah.

Info: Phenelo was born in the modern city of Balskfort, the capital of Drob continent. As a computer programming student, he spends most of his time exploring capabilities of machines and how they can be helpful in people’s daily activities in life. Balskfort City, coined as the technology capital of Drob, offers opportunities for machine researchers and inventors. His parents died when he was 9 years old. Their deaths were caused by a laboratory explosion three months after her mother gave birth to her little sister Arissa.

Info: Yufa was born in the town of Istoni. Her father, Gildiroth, was so delighted with her wife’s pregnancy. Yufa’s mother, Lalea, soon gave birth. When he found out that his child is a girl, Gildiroth lost his hope in saving Nalla seeing that he is old and he was skeptical if Yufa can handle the responsibility of rescuing his beloved land.

With her knowing these feelings of her father towards her, she became cold of Gildiroth. She trains hard to best the expectations of her father. These emotions and ideas shaped her aspiration in saving Nalla.

Info: Gondal Temple trains people of Hudori Islands in search for the hero who will save Nalla from its predicament. Flip was born in the stoned village of Viosei in the far east of Galhe Kingdom. Flip and his brother, Toss, were the only survivors from the stone tragedy that happened in Viosei. They felt powerless and weak to save their village from the Mist Rogues. After escaping, the two found a way to revive their village through training in Gondal Temple.

Info: The one who invented the Translogia. He is the famous inventor known as “The Needler” for his keen ability in observing details about machinery circuits. His encounter with Phenelo led him to test his very first invention. He also admires Phenelo’s skills with machines and promised him to make him his successor whenever he wants to retire. Need is a person with a strong will in finding solutions. He is trustworthy and never fails in finding reasons to laugh.

Name: Arissa Goblet
Age: 7
Info: She is Phenelo’s little sister. In spite of her sadness of not being with her parents, Arissa has a sunny personality. She always worries about other people especially her brother. She’s a kind and courteous kid.

Dislikes: Being alone, thunderstorms


Name: Caleb McTruffy
Age: 16
Info: Phenelo’s bestfriend in the real world. He is also a programming student but he never finishes a project without Phenelo’s help. Caleb is a real coward but his personality changes when playing games. He always tries his hardest to beat Phenelo in games just to catch the attention of his long time crush, Kaii.
Likes: Burgers, Kaii, being patted on the shoulder

Name: Kaii Rivas
Age: 16
Info: A hardworking student and the current chairperson of the computer organization. She loves to stay for long hours in school just to study. She is known for being a loudmouth and a strict officer but she has a soft spot when it’s about Phenelo.

Dislikes: Being ignored, insects

Name: Syntrx Strauss
Age: 19
Info: Need’s apprentice. She’s a smart and a logical girl. She treats Dr. Need as her second father.

Name: Kazam (Cid Ruins village elder)
Age: 74
Arma: Unknown
Info: The highest of all sorcerer elders in the ruins of Cid. Kazam and all of the elders were trying to call upon a saviour from the Nalla Gods when Phenelo came down from the heavens. At first he was doubtful about the Gods bringing Phenelo to Nalla but then later amazed on the boy’s prowess.

Age: 9

Info: A child villager from Cid Ruins. He acts brave on all things but deep in him he is afraid. He idolizes Phenelo for his skills and wanted to grow up to be like him. A hard-headed kid but a cry-baby when faced with trouble.

Info: A brave hunter from Cid Ruins. All teenagers from the village should undergo in his training before being entitled as a true hunter. He admires Phenelo’s dedication to learn.

Info: One of the hunter trainees of Alp. He’s the acting leader of the team. Toppi can’t really make decisions without consulting Alp for command.

Info: A member of hunter trainees. He likes to brag about his strength.

Info: The strongest among all trainees. He hates the fact that Phenelo is better than him but he accepted it and made Phenelo his friend. A wise and an observant hunter.

Info: The one who adopted Phenelo inside the book. Phenelo reminds her about brother Milo who ran away from Cid.

List of (useless)information (Terms, History, People, etc)

♥ Nallians believe that their world is created by a god named Nagihs.
♥ It consists of three continents: Galhe Kingdom, Hudori Islands, and ???
♥ Long ago, people from this world abused the use of weapons. Man became violent. One day, all weapons were transformed into gems.
♥ Gastoak Zenchalari, a powerful king from ??? discovered the power of the Mist.
♥ The Mist later covered the whole of Nalla. Wandering wild monsters that fuses with Mist will result into an Arima.
♥ One faithful day came, Armas appeared all throughout Nalla.
♥ For one to able to use a weapon, he must acquire an Arma.
♥ An Arma chooses it’s master.
♥ Armas are engravable with Weapon Gems.
♥ An Arma shapes itself based on the Weapon Gem engraved in it.
♥ Armas can also summon monsters.
♥ An Arima is a byproduct of a wild monster and Mist.
♥ One can obtain an Arima by defeating it and later can be summoned through his/her Arma.
♥ Viosei, a village located southeast of Nalla was cursed by the Mist Rogues. One night, the Rogues attacked and turned the whole village into stone. They found out that a powerful mage that can break the barrier blocking the path to the other continent is living in Viosei.
♥ Wauggy is the primary transportation all over Nalla. But this technology is not yet available for the most part of Galhe.
There are wauggy gates scattered all over Nalla.

Arima System (this is like the Seru)

♥ An Arima has its own element.
♥ Once it is obtained, it can be summoned by spending GP(Gem points)

♥ Gem Points. Like MP (Mana points/ Magic Points). An Arma has a core gem. This is where all Armas get its power.

Battle System

♥ You know it all, Legaia’s battle system. With a little bit of added features.

1. Brawl system

♥ Well in Legaia basically Vahn, Noa, and Gala are all brawlers since they use punch, kicks and some different battle actions depending on what weapon is equipped. So it’s like that that.

2. Arts, Hyper Arts and Miracle Arts are here to stay.

3. Arma Arts

♥ So this is what I decided to add. It depends on what weapon gem is equipped.

Example:

If a One handed sword is equipped, a special Arma Arts called Strike can be learned.
If its a Two handed sword, a special Arma Arts called Siphon Slice can be learned.

♥ Obviously, Arma Arts must be inputted in the action gauge for it to be performed.
♥ On how will the players can learn this, it’s still on a further study process.

Still studying on some other elements, working on the character sketches, taking 30-minute showers, and of course the story. I've finished the first chapter, which Jhann edited the garbage grammar. It's like a script and I like it better that way since my characters will not move in a super detail like the approach of a book-style.
