From lol 1 rem just disappeared and i really havent played lol 2 so im at a loss for gods or even demi-gods as far as that game goes. But if your trying to figure out where to start from and what location the game should be in why not have a different group of characters in the game when rem is still there but he sends the main character back in time to fix things.
