How long was that show? Like 10 seasons or somethin?

I liked it at first. But I never finished it. I rewatched some of it not too long ago. Kinda ehhhhh now. Standard complaints of older shows. Special effects are kinda funny lookin, acting's kinda cheesy sometimes, etc.

They really should do more live action shows for superheroes. Sure, not as much money to be made as a movie, but the budget is prolly considerably lower. Problem is usually the supporting cast tho. Hard to make continuous episodes if there aren't a lot to draw from/they're not that great.

Spider-Man should get one >:P

But I guess that's not really necessary anymore with the reboot and all.

Smallville went exactly 10 seasons. I managed to finish all of it earlier this year.

Superman is annoyingly OP.

I mean sure he has a few weaknesses, but he's basically the JL's main offense. >____>


Kinda enjoyed when Superboy Prime kicked the crap outta him and every other Kryptonian in existence (Except for the grandaddy of all Supermans he's awesomely OP).

I used to think he was OP too. I don't anymore. Not even close.

He's supposed to be ridiculously strong because he's the Earth's main defender. He's THE GUY who's called forth when some giant alien threat wants to destroy or take over Earth. It's his job.

He's only "OP" when you want to pair him against most heroes. Which is stupid, because Superman is not meant to fight the other heroes >____>

Superman's weakness is that he can't save the entire world even though he wants to. He can save Metropolis from an alien attack. Fine. What about the thousands of people around the world who died in the meantime?

Yes, he has some ridiculous feats, but that's because he's supposed to.

The reason someone like Goku doesn't get that kinda criticism is because Goku is in DBZ. It's a cohesive world made by one guy who wanted to make a story of Goku's power progression and the constant increasing threats.

Superman was not meant to be like that. He was meant to be all-powerful so he could do what literally no one else could. The DC universe is not one cohesive world made by one guy who wanted to make a story of Superman's power progression and the constant increasing threats.

If anything, Batman is the guy who's overpowered. He has no business being a top dog in the Justice League. I don't care how special his diet is or how well-trained he is or how intelligent he's supposed to be. He has no business going toe-to-toe with threats of that level.

I put more fault on the writing than Batman himself, really. Because typically what happens is that when the writers need Batman to shine, everyone around him suddenly becomes an idiot even though many of them (like Superman and Martian Manhunter) are intelligent too.

They're just not as big on the strategizing cuz they can actually do the work.

I still fail to see how strategic planning and being a natural born leader allows him to be up to par with a goddess, Superman, a policeman of the galaxy, the scientist with access to one of the most powerful forces ever, and a green Superman who likes Oreos.

That's more of the writing than anything else. But the main reason for that is because Superman is the big gun. Often times, the dude is holding back. When things get serious, he stops, and saves the day.

But I do see what you're saying. I'd say that's more the fault of the team being comprised of hugely powerful characters (Wonder Woman, Flash, GL, MM, etc) all operating on Earth at the same time facing the same enemies. They all have to have a part.

But Superman is the MAIN offensive because that's his role. When nobody else in the group can stop it, he can.

Where has Batman beaten Superman BTW? I've heard this claim but never seen scans. Haven't dug into DC yet. Never encountered it.

But Batman has absolutely no business beating Superman in a fight. Literally. Dude gets blitzed before he can plan. In 2 minutes, Supes can stomp Batman, his whole family, the tower, then go rescue Lois and then get his nerdy glasses on again. Batman can't harm Superman (and krytonite doesn't kill the dude).

The conflict with the whole Batman/Justice League thing is also more of a DC problem than anything. Batman is practically required in everything DC does. He's a guaranteed seller. Everyone wants to see him. Everyone likes Batman. But he's a human (he's practically superhuman already given his feats >____>) in a group with people who could break the world. They can't make Justice League a big thing without Batman, and they can't make Batman up-to-par with the rest of them well enough without changing the essence of the character and pissing everybody off.

I think it was said Batman has a suit infused with Kryptonite and blargh.


And yes Superman can be killed though the usage of Kryptonite. It degrades him Human levels; where a simple bullet can kill him iirc.

Batman has way more qualities that make him fit to run the JL. He's considered one of the top 3 doctors in like... the whole world. He's a master strategist (as I mentioned), which allows for complete success almost every time. As far as Arsenal/Equipment, he ranks at no. 1 (AFAIK).

And really I've read a few comics where Batman is like one of the first to die.



Really if you have a problem, blame the writers.



And Superboy Prime still stomps all dem JL goobers. A million times.
