1: Fave thing? It's a tie between Rafiki (in general) and the 'Be Prepared' scene.
2: Well, you see, when a daddy lion and a mamma lion love each other a whole lot (or if they are particularly bored) they do the 'egg fertilizing' ritual to summon the magical creature known as 'The Stork', which then blesses the momma and daddy lion by bringing them a baby lion. In this case, the daddy lion was also the reincarnated form of Anakin Skywalker (otherwise known as Darth Vader), so the baby brought to them was a 'special' baby which had the 'voice of a king'. And the rest, as they say, is history.

If you assume average wood density with an average woodchuck i'd have to say somewhere in the vicinity of 30 planks per minute up to a maximum of 2 hours without rest.
