PS4 & Xbox One
Re: PS4 & Xbox One
Right now:
Wii U >>>>>> PS4 >> XBO
Wii U, for one, actually has games (exclusive or not) that I'm interested in. Smash, X, Bayonetta 2, SMT x FE, etc.
I haven't been keeping up with the PS4/XBO stuff all that much because I'm not planning on getting either one anytime soon, but from what I remember, XBO has more exclusives, most just don't look all that great.
PS4 has FFXV and KHIII, but I think XBO is also getting either one of those or both, I don't remember. They're also both getting MGS5. PS4 has inFAMOUS: Second Son, which I would LOVE to play since I love the rest of the series. I've got faith in Deep Down since Capcom did well with Dragon's Dogma, so that's a plus I suppose.
XBO has Killer Instinct as an exclusive, which I WOULD have liked, but from the way it looks and the business model they were using, I wasn't too hyped for it. That Halo 5 or w/e is their really big title, but I've never liked Halo or FPS. Ryse looked okay, but too many QTEs and I don't think anything more than the visuals and choice of setting were all that interesting overall.
And then the other big ones are stuff like Watch Dogs, Witcher 3, Mirror's Edge 2, Thief, Assassin's Creed IV, etc, and those are all multiplats, so they don't make too much of a difference.
So as far as games go, I guess it depends on if there are one or two exclusives for one that you'd prefer. I doubt there will be a huge difference in how well the games run on either system or w/e. Wii U's got the most exclusives right now, so that's a factor. Not to mention you can get one now and it'll be cheaper than the PS4 or XBO.
I'm happy to see that Microsoft changed some things with the XBO, but I can't help but feel like they'll just try it again next time around (and Sony'll prolly tweak a few of their ideas next gen too), or try to slowly ease the community into it.
As you can prolly see, I gon't give a rat's thumbs about hardware and technical aspects because I am a casual and not a gaming nerd so I just like games. Everything else goes over my teeny little head.
So, really if I do make a decision to get either of them anytime SOON, it'll easily be the Wii U. However, I also made the mistake of snagging the Wii early on because of how promising it's lineup looked compared to the PS3 and 360, and then all of its momentum just died >_______>
I'd prolly advise anyone who's torn to just, like, WAIT and see what games are coming out soon. Whatever system supports the kinda games you enjoy, take into account your level of brand loyalty, w/e.
I don't think either is worth it right now, though.
Ya dweebs.
btw PS3 >> 360 > Wii

Basically what I wanted to say- but he has the patience to write it.
Really, isn't waiting what all smart and poor gamers do? Why would anyone in their right minds buy the console as soon as it comes out? There's too many cons to that.
- Limited amount of games.
- The console has a higher chance of sucking in the end.
- The cost would eventually diminish.
- Not everyone would have it right away (making Online capabilities dumb for the first few months)
- Longer lines than if you waited a few more months.
- You get to hear other opinions and reviews that could possibly alter you opinion of what you want.
Only people I've met that buy systems as soon as they come out are usually the spoiled brats who get everything they want.

I didn't say anyone was arrogant and/or stuck up. I said I would like some valuable input rather than "I don't like that because it's that". It's like me saying "I don't like Apple because Mac OS sucks." That feedback is no good. "I don't like Linux because it's too hard." No good. "I don't like star wars because it's for nerds" ... You get the point.redhollowlives999 wrote: THIS made YOU sound arrogant and stuck up.
And yes, your input was mostly valuable. But saying that you don't like PS4 or Xbox One because of PS3 or Xbox 360 is also no good. They're new systems.
Which is where I am, and the reason why my rating is basically neutral for both. As mentioned before, the 24 hour thing for the xbox one before was definitely keeping me away, regardless of the games... But since that's gone, I'm neutral for both systems. It's now about waiting to see what games I really like.Zup wrote: I'd prolly advise anyone who's torn to just, like, WAIT and see what games are coming out soon.
I only debate hardware because people who don't understand it always try to debate it and it frustrates the 質 out of me.

Well after staring at these walls of text and pretending to read them. No console is "better" than another, just a matter of what you like and what you prioritize.
For me:
Exclusives (Wii U, PS3)
Price (Wii U, PS3)
Ecosystem (PS3)
Third Party Support (PS3, X1)
Power (PS3, X1)
But really, I can't afford any of this stuff.

Ill stand ground on my thought that Xbox One going to be rushed. They keep changing their minds on a lot of the ideas the have pronounced, and thanks to kinect, is way to expensive.
It's actually really funny:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzDsYEPkSc4
The comparison of the crowd's reactions made me laugh my こし off.

Re: PS4 & Xbox One
So it looks like they're all kinda lame for now woooo.
Wii U had (has....kinda) so much potential with X and Smash and whatnot but it's suffering from the same problem the Wii did - absolutely no momentum. The really hyped up games come one at a time with stagnation periods in between.
PS4 and XBO are essentially the same thing now. Been hearin some good feedback about the XBO's multimedia functions and how easy that is for people to use. Connects all their stuff and really lives up to the system's name. But from what I can tell Killer Instinct is the only real game that'd hook me in (still early tho). It's nice for XBO that stuff like MGS and FF and KH are goin multiplat.
PS4's essentially in the same boat I heard. No real big exclusives (inFAMOUS is all I can think of right now). Kind of a bummer for fanboys that they "lost" those juggernauts above but w/e.
Seems like people are startin to feel like consoles are losin their whole prpose of simple dedicated game box with exclusives you can't get on PC (if only for awhile).
I think it'd be great if we head to the point of no console wars anymore. I mean I've never been a PC gamer cuz I'm broke but the idea of keeping everything confined to one system (and maybe a handheld to accompany it) sounds REALLY good overall.
But I haven't played games in months so idk nothin no more.
Do any of y'all even care.

Re: PS4 & Xbox One
You really asking ME if I care.
I expected all that to happen bruh. These company would be asking for too much if they released another console within the next 5 years to a decade, because it seems like it's the path they're taking for several thing (I'm still on the Vita's overall failure compared to it's predecessor).

Re: PS4 & Xbox One
Take it easy Pachter.
Neither the Vita nor the PSP had a big legacy or anything. Nobody really cares for either.
This gen'll prolly have a big focus on mulimedia and online stuff. DLC was successful but also had a lotta hate so they'll work on gettin that right.
And they wouldn't be "asking for too much," although a 5 year cycle sounds awful. But nobody's decrying what try'ce done so far - think PS4 had one kf the biggest launches ever or somethin. I'm guessin XBO did too. I havenmy checked or anything but I read that while browsing somewhere.

Dude, the PSP was pretty popular. If you didn't have one, it's because you either had a DS or you just didn't have your with you when someone asked or something.
it really do be like that tho
Re: PS4 & Xbox One
PLENTY of people didn't have a PSP. It had the same issue as the Wii, except it didn't even get to rely on big first party titles to push a significant number of units.
This topic ain't even about that.
Does anyone here even have a PS4 or XBO?
Actually lookin back it seems like Pray made this topic more to trash on Xbox than anything else.
