Re: Superhero Movies!
I don't watch movies that much.
So this post is completely pointless.
So this post is completely pointless.
it really do be like that tho
Re: Superhero Movies!
Shailene Woodley is a rather rather odd choice for Mary Jane Watson. She fits the HS mold I guess. Well I didn't think Emma Stone was a good choice for Gwen Stacy, but it turns out she was excellent.

Re: Superhero Movies!
Believe it or not, the reboots have more to do with the long-term goals of the studios. They're basically recasting for the "team" based movies (i.e. Avengers, Justice League). I think a Fantastic 4 reboot is on the horizon for that exact reason, been a while since I've seen news on it though..IronJustice wrote:I have a grievance about superhero movies...
Why do they keep rebooting the series'? There are much more to these characters than their origin stories. I'd love to see them carry some of these guys through and do the amazing story arcs from the comics. There is so much good material that has never seen the light of day.
Re: Superhero Movies!
Any thoughts on the DC animated movies?
-Superman Doomsday-
One of my favorite Superman storylines. Done very well, animation, voice acting (Anne Heche was superb) and fight scenes really felt like they put in special effort. Solid retelling of it's comic book counterpart.
-Crisis on Two Earths-
Maybe I'm just a sucker for parallel dimensions, or Lex Luthor, or Owlman. Really I'm a sucker for a team of reverse heroes. But really really, I'm a fan of all of the above.
-Under the Red Hood-
Easily had the best fight scenes of all the movies so far, or at least the ones I've seen. Great story, and explores a theme not so black and white as those present in other super hero films. And Neil Patrick Harris!
-Justice League Doom-
I like just about everything about this movie except Cyborg. Having Cyborg in that role totally minimizes the significance of the overlying storyline. Love having the "Justice League" cast reprise their roles.

I haven't seen all that many
\
But the ones I have seen were (for the most part) amazing. The animated universe is definitely something I tend to prefer DC in.
Gotham Knight was pretty good. Batman stuff are pretty much always great tho.
The Green Lantern one (or the one I saw if there are more) was...eh. GL support characters just don't do it for me most of the time, I guess.
Under the Red Hood is easily my favorite one, mostly due to me loving Red Hood in general. And like you said, the fight scenes were crazy good.
I liked Public Enemies too.
Marvel has a few good ones too.
Hulk Vs. was fantastic Deadpool was excellent in this movie. It's prolly my favorite adaptation. MvC3 MIGHT edge him out, not sure. He was a good mix of the wacky, cartoony DP in the game and the more serious, gritty version.
Ultimate Avengers and Ultimate Avengers 2 were also pretty good.
I really want a Nova movie >_____<
