That's really weird, I got my PS3 pretty much when it first came out, and I have all sorts of PS1-PS2-PS3 game saves on it from over the years. There's some maintenance updates you can download when connecting the PS3 to the internet if I remember correctly, but then again PSN was hacked and destroyed awhile back so things change, don't know what you can do now.

In any case I've ran into weird issues as well, handful of years back my old LL2 disk upon reaching the bridge part with Mighty Balken (I think?) the cutscene there would freeze/crash the game, disabling the ability to play/progress. I exchanged and got a new game disk, it didn't happen until a few hours more into the game forgot the other cutscene but it was happening again.

To this day I don't understand why, I was playing on the new slim PS2, was only a couple years old and I preform regular cleaning maintenance, none of my other games had any issues, so I tried playing it at a friends house with his PS2 (also slim version) and it worked perfectly fine, and he had his since it first came out. Bought a used PS2 and gave it a complete run down of tests and everything worked fine.

It is not ps3 but a lot of people claim that the psp freezes at the same time but when I played through on my psp it never freezed once. I have the very original version of the psp. So if you guys have the oldpsp you could transfer your ps3 save file and play through it on the psp.

The issues on the PS3 with LoL are due to the system using an emulator to play PS1 games, which will cause certain PSX games to glitch out. Most emulators I've used on the PC cause LoL to have the mirror glitch, including the most recent epsxe version 1.8.

However, I did find that epsxe version 1.7 does not give you the mirror glitch and the game will run smoothly. So I just copied my save state over from the 1.8 folder to my save state folder in epsxe 1.7 and played from there, then after saving in Past Conkram I switched back to 1.8 (it runs smoother for more games).

1.7 worked perfectly for me on all my ps1 games, so I have nothing to complain about lol. Not to mention, I just burned all my ps1 games and play them on my ps2 now... Except legaia (which requires screenshots for the site).

I just play LoL without an emulator, on my PS2...
