Songi (First Fight)

Most people don't use Theeder on Songi because it's a relatively easy fight as it is and they want to save the MP for Zeto, who is much harder if the party's at low levels.
Magic leafs are also rare at this point and walking back to Biron and resting is a hassle for most people.

Personally, my Gala's Theeder level was already lvl 9 so it took him out in one good swoop

What kind of damage does Theeder do at that level? I never bother to level Theeder that high.

Yeah theeder always seemed like more of a pest to me, especially since his attack never seemed too reliable. Sometimes it hit everyone, other times it only hit the target. I mean come on, get it together Theeder

I wish they did more one on one duels like this one, not just this game, but other rpgs as well.

I like Theeder mainly because it attacks with its pee pee. But it's actually a useful substitute for attacking with Gala all the way through the Sebucus Islands.

I think it did in the 2k range at lvl 9. I don't remember exactly. My Gala was also in the mid to late teen levels when I fought him.

2k seems a bit excessive. It seems that most spells have a 2-2.5x damage output at level 9 compared to level 1, so given that Theeder is dealing around 350-450 at level 1 (if memory serves), I would imagine that 900-1000 would be reasonable, but 2000 seems a bit much.

Then again, I've been proven wrong before...

Although late teen levels seems a bit excessive, even for me. Usually, I fight Zeto at 12-13, and I'm known for doing a good amount of level/G grinding.

It may have been less, like maybe around 1.5k. But my Gala was at least lvl 16 when I fought him.
