Personality Types

Post by Zup » Sun Mar 03, 2013 12:08 am

Personality types are one aspect of psychology that I really like exploring. Even got Red into it for awhile

Well I found a new, different type of test that gives you a new, different type of personality type. From what I've seen, there are TONS more possibilities and types, and the questions offer much more flexibility for more specific answers you might want to give.

Alternatively (or additionally), you can also take this more straight-forward test that gives you your Jung-Myers style personality type, such as ISFP or ENTJ and whatnot

Share your results if you feel like it. Maybe even judge how accurate you found your typing(s) to be.

Here's what I got:

Faithful Experiencer

Fairly accurate. I'm also not satisfied with it, which is what I expected. I got work to do >:|

I used to be INTP like 10 years ago when I first took it. I seriously doubt I'm still the same though.
Will re-post after I take it again.

EDIT: The results

ISFJ
Introvert(22%) Sensing(50%) Feeling(25%) Judging(56%)

You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (22%)
You have moderate preference of Sensing over Intuition (50%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (56%)

Well imagine that. I'm still slightly introverted (compared to almost completely back then) but everything else is switched now.

I took the test from the first link, Personal DNA. Apparently I'm a "Considerate Thinker"

In my Design class, we took the Jung class, I don't remember the results other than I as introverted.

Looks like I'm a cautious idealist.

I honestly like this test a bit more than the Jung-Myers one, mostly because of the more in-depth questions, and the less vague overall assessment at the end. Not to say the Jung-Myers typings were inaccurate - far from it. Only thing, really, is that the PersonalDNA one takes some time to get through.

Really? Even though the Jung-Myers one was 70-some questions, it went by quickly, since there were only two options >.> PersonalDNA took a bit, plus I had to think about them a little more, since the sliders allowed for more flexibility and specificity
