As promised.

-Too many long threads, the "Pokemon!" thread is 100 pages, gotta cap it off at 10 pages or something, then make a part 2 thread. It's intimidating to new users.
-Too many general threads, "Final Fantasy (and any other RPGs) Topic" and "The Last Airbender / The Legend of Korra" are too general, which requires quite a bit of reading to do before actually posting in the topic and knowing what everyone is currently talking about. I have interests in both areas, but never wanted to to post in them because of the scope, size and unknown tone.
-Not enough new threads per day. Are we still gonna talk about the same things, thus the long threads.
-I don't actually know anything; these are just my thoughts and opinions.

I wouldn't be intimidated, infact I'd read the last 3-5 pages and then post. If I'm interested, I'll head back. No reason to fear it.

The general threads are a way to reduce the annoyance of having so many threads.
Again, checking the last few pages helps in knowing what everybody else is talking about.
If you're concern is if whether the topic you wanna say (which if you do have something you wanna say, then say it. Who cares if its been discussed? Either we'll discuss it again for the other members will recap what has been discussed.
Or if you have too much pride, search it on the site, and limit it to the forum at question.

I have interests in both areas, but never wanted to to post in them because of the scope, size and unknown tone.
But thats stupid, because cats hate sand >:I

Not really our fault. Its due to the lack of new members bringing in new ideas.
-I don't actually know anything; these are just my thoughts and opinions.
Once again I refer you to the cat. The moose ran off with my walnut

While I see what you mean, the 10 pages certainly is too small of a number. But I think the major thing with that not being common practice here is that there aren't enough users that are constantly active that it becomes necessary. It's usually the same dudes posting, so they're always caught up.

But you could always jump in near the end and discuss w/e. Especially now, really, since many of those topics don't get much activity. Jumping in and starting a new conversation (or even revisiting an old one) would be fair game.

EDIT: Actually now that I think about it, 10 pages isn't as short as I thought it was.

Again, understood, but again, just go right in and post, since nobody else is >.>

I'm sure you could probably go ahead and start other, more specific titles, or go ahead and reboot them yourself. I don't think anyone really minds, seeing as how they aren't posting anyway
-Not enough new threads per day. Are we still gonna talk about the same things, thus the long threads.
That's also due to lack of activity in general. And with such a small community, it can be somewhat difficult to find a lot of topics that several users have a common interest in.

So basically it boils down to not having a lot of active users, and then a good chunk of those users not posting much in the forums, save for a thread or two here and there.

I am pretty interested in making Version 2, Version 3 threads and whatnot. If it's not against the rules to do so and it's aight with people, I think I might start doing it (tho only the SNSD thread really seems to be appropriate for that right now, seeing as it's one of the active ones...between two people)

Necro (minus the w) is something related to the dead (or a corpse). So he's reviving the thread, in other words, by making a post.

I feel stupid, seeing how I already knew what Necro means, should have pieced it together :/

But I didn't so oh well

I don't see the big deal with posting in a big thread :/

Somebody's gonna have to explain that in further detail.

Well, I can't speak from a personal standpoint, but I suppose it's feeling overwhelmed. Trying to take part in a topic with pages upon pages of posts already going through discussions can be overwhelming. You don't know what's already been discussed, what the general opinions/"rules"/customs of the thread are, etc. It's like being the new kid, in a sense
