Wow, lol. Honestly though, I always thought of her as a little bit older. In battle theres no way she looks 12 or whatever her age is supposed to be. And can you imagine a 12 year old girl pummeling Xain with bare fists? I know she knows martial arts, but my suspension of disbelief only goes so far... Lets just say maybe a Legaia year is a little longer than an Earth year.

I generally considered Noa older than 12 because of her battle model but... I know she was raised by a wolf-seru-thang in a cave and all but that would make her and incredibly immature teenager. Like a child in an older girls' body, just seems creepy to me. I don't even know.

I think at the end of the game I paired Noa with Vahn but I was surprised at the option at the time? But on the other hand I couldn't really pair Vahn and Mei up because they didn't feel like a couple to me after the events of the game.

1) Vahn and Noa bond. Over their huge, epic, amazing, dangerous, life- and world-changing journey, they met each other and worked together. They grew up a tad bit together. They protected together. I mean each other. They became close friends and likely developed feelings for each other. And that stuff. Where was Mei during all of this? Makin' a sammich for a mute who was too busy saving the world and not caring about her.

2) Mei ain't got sh*t. She ain't got sh*t goin on in her life. She's just a lame young girl in an isolated village out in the middle of nowhere. She can't fight, she can't...what else is there to do in Legaia? And what happens when Vahn comes back and the world is saved? What does she have to offer him? Cooking? Well...okay that might work. Buuuuuuut...

3) Mei is a wreck. What happens in her story? Her mom is long gone, her dad is dead, and her village is attacked by freaky monsters. What happens then? The dude she likes...leaves. They ain't even make out or have a passionate night of love making like all the movies. Nothing. She gives him clothes that she made for him that he just sells because they suck. What about later in the story? When Vahn first comes back? Girl gets friggin glued to Juggernaut's intestines and turned to stone or some sh*t. wtf. Girl got too much baggage and problems, mane.

4) Noa's gon need some lovin. She had her own tragic little story, but instead of being a sad sack of nothing she went out and kicked こし. But then what happens? Cort gets babyfied and now she gets to raise him. But...she's still like a 12-year-old girl. Even if in Legaia the ages work differently and she's more mature and developed and whatever she's still a "barbarian" girl raising a kid...alone. But Vahn is there! He already likes her (now to what degree is debatable but stfu). They're close. He understands why the the the the the 12-year-old Noa is waltzin around with a baby. Maybe he'll wanna settle down and realizes Noa is the best choice for him and whatever. She awesome and stuff.

5) Mei and Ixis totally banged. It was likely messy, awful, painful, and uncomfortable, but it definitely happened. When Vahn leaves, they're, like, the only villagers around the same age, and they're opposite genders, so of course they got down to some of the nasty. Now, that doesn't mean they couldn't...do those things with other aged villagers (.____.), but they fo sho got up in each other's grilles. Mei is probably preggers already anyway. Mei was a wreck, and nobody thought that was attractive...except Ixis. Dude is such a pathetic little goober that that ish got him all worked up in the naughty places and so he pounced. I mean, c'mon, she was livin in a house by herself. Dad's dead and mom's out boning monks. They totally did it.

I always picked Noa too. I mean, it's obvious that Mei was in love with Vahn. But this was more a friendship-type-thing that evolved cuz they're the only two age-appropriate-for-each-other villagers in Rim Elm. It's like she loved him by default. Yes, I know there's Ixis but he's second rate AND younger than Vahn. Mei's already a year older than Vahn so Ixis would be two years younger than her. Well they're all crazy underage and this is like a giant pedofest but Mei's already robbing the cradle as it is. And to add to the "default theory", when Vahn becomes unavailable, Mei automatically moves on to the next closest person by default: Ixis.

Now, Noa: Vahn learns to love her over time. They fought through life and death together. He was there for her during her tragedies (Conkram), she was there for his tragedies (Rim Elm-Juggernaut). They traveled together all over the world for who knows how long. They basically grew up from teenagers to heroes together and learned to face the world as adults side-by-side. (Gala was there too but he was already a know-it-all so he doesn't count; he can be the best man/maid of honor hybrid at their wedding)

Next, we don't know much about Vahn's personality but he seems to be the "quiet" type (obviously). This means if he ends up with the calm, mature, sensitive Mei, they'd be Legaia's most famous boring couple ever. He needs some excitement in his life. A strong woman to lead the way and give him a kick in the rear every once in a while. And who can do that better than Noa?

I think Mei is better for Gala. They're both older, wiser and more mature. This is how I imagine they end up together: After Vahn and Noa get together post-game, Mei goes to work at Biron Monastery like her mother did before. There, she grows close to the new-old Master Teacher, Gala. Gala gives up being a monk cuz he wants to bang her and comes back home with her to Rim Elm. They get married and Gala joins Tetsu in training the villagers for hunting. After Tetsu retires, Gala becomes the new trainer of Rim Elm. Vahn and Noa travel the mist free world and comes home to Rim Elm every once in a while to visit all their friends and family.
