[deadly virus]

Dv's bodybegan to rapidly decay, yet he noticed he was healed by posioned based attacks and consuming people not only healed him, but made me temporaily stronger. He knew that Red and Lone were coming for him and he tried to stay in peak condiction....but how long could he keep it up?

Ram, I wantz to have another battle. I gotz a cool idea.

Lone walked out of Rim Elm, looking closely at the moonlight that lit up his immediate area. Lone thought carefully, it didn't occur to him that Marelle never came back until now. He turned to the just arriving Red, with a raised eyebrow. "Hey, where is this Marelle chick?"

We'll see her again soon.

Lone jumped back, who said that? "That's a new voice..."

"Oh." Red pulled up his sleeves, revealing Amzo. "Yes, I was given one, that's why I need to go to Jeremi, I need to give it a power boost from the Genesis tree. It suits you too, seeing how I need to give the BoG a power boost in order to get my own power boost."

"Makes sense. How do you wanna do this?"

"I was thinking we use my last Door to Winds to go to Jeremi, and maybe even Buma. Then we walk," Red slowly perceived Lone's impatience to kill Dv "Err...Run... to Dv. With the power the Ra-Seru will lend us, we can't lose."

Lone wasn't thrilled by Red's plan of jumping from location to location, he wasn't especially thrilled about using Door to Winds, but if this will only take about 20 minutes, he didn't see much of a problem. "Fine, whatever."


Red and Lone left in a breeze, landing on Jeremi only seconds after. "You can open your eyes Lone." Red said with a chuckle.

"Shut up and go do your thing."





There it is.

"Yup. The Genesis tree of Jeremi."

Just hurry up. Dv is growing stronger every second.

"Yeah yeah."





"Where is Red..." Lone waited idly by the exit of Jeremi. He just sat by a wall, thinking of billions of strategies, until he heard something approaching. Fast. Lone got up and prepared himself for combat. What the the the the the would somebody be doing up so late?

Lone was pushed aside by a big horse. "What the the the the the man?" The driver did not stop to see if Lone was okay, all Lone heard were beeps. He tried to run beside the horse for a few seconds to see who was riding it, to his surprise, it was Marelle. Marelle on.. Red's horse! "Hey aren't you-"

"Hiyah!" The horse, on command, rode faster. Lone tried to continue his pursuit, until something hit his face, it was a drop of water. Lone stopped running to look up; no clouds. He checked his forehead for sweat; finding nothing. He wiped the drop off. "Is this..... A tear?"

"A what?" Red walked up behind Lone, extending Lone's blade to him. "What's going on?"

Lone heard Red's question, but ignored it. He grabbed his sword from Red, still looking at Marelle's direction. "Barra."

Yes? Barra came out on Lone command.

"Red, where did you leave your horse?"

"I usually just let her graze outside the town, why?"

Lone really wanted to kill Dv, with all his might, but something didn't add up. "Lets go this way."

Red looked up towards the stars, trying to guess their exact location. "I think that leads to mountains."

"We need to check something out for abit." Lone merged with his Barra, and started running. Red was slightly stunned at Lone's speed.

"Wow." Red looked down to his chest, "Kemaro, you ready?"

Always.

Red started running, then he jumped several feet in the air; each jump taking him higher and farther. After a while, Red understood what Lone was talking about, because in the distance, he could see a horse up ahead, he tried to see who was riding it, but it was too dark to tell. He kept his distance until he was able to see who it was; though he already had a guess.

Lone looked back every few seconds to check on Red, who was doing just fine a mile below the clouds. "Mhmmm. So long as he stays hidden." Lone sighed, "Curse my OCD."

[Rammerrush]

Ram looked down at the scientist lying prone on the dirt floor before letting out a laugh. "That was simple." He said thinking back on the trouble he had with killing him earlier. Ram moved to the body and pressed his fingers to his neck. "No pulse milady, what should I do with him?"

"Take him with us," she said as she moved towrd the entrace. "I could use more slaves." When she exited the cave two large turrets turned to face her, the barrels already spinning in preparation to shoot. But before they had the chance, the young girl's body, let off a dark purple wave of energy, destroying the pair of futuristic turrets. "Well, that was nothing."

Ram picked up K's body and followed her into the sunlight. "Where to now milady?"

"We need a bridge!" She declared.

"Why do we need a bridge?" Ram was confused at the odd command his lady had made. Not that he wouldn't find her this bridge, he just was curious.

"Silence." She said in a clam yet commanding voice. "I just need it, now escort me to the nearest bridge."

"Yes milady." Ram threw K over his shoulder and began to walk to where he believed the nearest bridge was. He figured it would only take a few hours to reach his destination.

Dr M's report on experiment 422 aka the deadly virus:

For years we worked to create life better for the people of Legaia... but we also made weapons. Tired of the thought that humans were weak and helpless and required seru, me and my comrades attempted to create a person who didn't need to rely on seru. We tried to play God..

Are initial experiments were utter failures. The first several dozen died almost instantly... some lived for a few days at most. Some mutated into monsters that we've done our best to contain. Just when we were on the verge of giving up hope.... we achieved what we set out to do..... or so we thought.

After 421 failures, we finally did it. Created a "super solider" if you will. We named him dv after the 4th and 22nd letters in the alphabet. It wasn't until much later he took up the name Deadly Virus... what a fitting name. Was he our greatest success, or ultimate failure? He was what we set out for.. stronger, faster, and had more endurance that any regular human. We never felt pity or remorse when he killed someone.. he even enjoyed it. Has we created a super soldier or was this just an evolved form of a monster like out earlier attempts.

His blood his a highly corrosive poison... none of us are sure how that happened. It just changed one day.. like he evolved. I refer to him as a "he" but more and more I realized that he is no longer a man... its something else. We've tried to capture it and keep it here for study, but it always escapes

Over the years since dv's creation we've tried to replicate it.... but we have been unable to do so.

He comes for me now... to kill me most likely. I'm afraid he cannot be stopped. What does it take to kill a monster like that?

Lone I waited for like.... longer than I can count with my fingers. I'm moving on.

Lone had a visual, but he was starting to tire. He had been running for hours. He looked behind him. Red stopped jumping and was now running about a few yards behind him; his Kemaro wasn't as fast as his Barra.

The sun was now rising, Marelle was pretty far away, but Lone, and now Red, can still hear the beeps Lone mentioned before. Red was stumbling, panting every few seconds. "Is she planning on exhausting that horse to death?"

Lone looked back. "Not sure, it looks like we're passed Furanda, and Vidna. Pretty soon we'll just hit mountains." Lone had gathered his surroundings. He knew exactly where they were headed, as he was forced to memorize the map of Legaia back in his military years. "Can't help but wonder why she would steal a horse and leave us, after she agreed to help us no less..."

Red knew the answer, he left Lone's question unanswered; hoping he'd figure it out on his own. "How much longer....."

Not much longer. Red felt a small light in the hand where his Ra-seru was, then he felt his body lighten up abit. He started running faster, to the point where he caught up to Lone, and eventually passing him; Lone retaliated to Red's second wind by pushing himself harder. Eventually Red and Lone were neck to neck; Marelle still in view.





Stop!

Red and Lone stopped, Red tripped and rolled forward. Lone had no trouble stopping, despite the speed he was running. "You okay Red?"

Red grunted as he got up, "Yeah, not as use to that speed..."

Hide!

Lone and Red panicked and hid behind the nearest structures. Red ran behind a rock, Lone by a tree. He looked over to Red, "You see anything."

Red's eyes widened. His adam's apple bobbed in as he swallowed, then respond. "Yeah. Its Ram... and Marelle"



Red and Lone watched Ram as he stood above Marelle Sword outstretched. Red fused with Swordie and tried to listen in, but due to Swordie's low level, all Red heard was broken sentences that he tried to make sense of. In order to avoid translation, Red told Lone to do the same with his Swordie. "What is he saying?" Red muttered under breath. "Thing... M'Lady..... Fire.... Did..... Who gave you this...."

Lone listened in himself, his Swordie's stronger in level, so he heard more. "You disgusting thing... M'Lady... Dark Fire.... I didn't... Who gave you this?..... W-what?!...." There was a silence. Lone noticed Red moving his hands, looking at him. Sign language... Lone doesn't know it at an expert level, but he picked it up once before...

"Did they stop talking?"

Lone thought for two seconds.... How does that word go again.... "I think... I don't hear anything."

"Should we engage?"

Lone thought about it carefully, he was starting to regret the whole thing, this was just wasting Dv killing time...

Yes, engage. Don't go for the offensive, try talking-

Talk is cheap. Ram is too far gone; he won't listen to reason.

.... You are forgetting, Tieg made all his children special. There isn't a single human being that doesn't process a situation. Even if the killing instinct gets to him before reason, it'll get there.

Lone couldn't argue with that logic, though, he couldn't bring himself to agree with it either. Dv was a monster that needed to be slain. But regardless, he processed what the Ra-Seru said. His thoughts were interrupted with Ram screaming in pain.

"Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Red and Lone covered their ears. Within seconds the sky turned dark.

We've been discovered!

Lone looked towards Ram and Marelle, one second Marelle was on the floor, yelling something at Ram; crying. Ram cried in pain, as a slow, dark fire surrounded his entire body. Red broke a sweat. He looked at Lone. "We're engaging."

"Right."

Red and Lone ran up the mountain, another woman slowly came into view.
Aim your attacks at her!

Ram yelled louder at the same time the sword spoke, as if their presence was affecting Ram. The yelling ceased when his flame engulfed him completely. Instead of a cry of pain, he gave out a mighty roar, one that made the nearby animals to run, and sending rocks down the mountain.

"What the-" Red couldn't finish that sentence, Ram disappeared, and within a second, reappeared right infront of Red. With a fatal downward slash-




















That would have hit if Lone did not take out his BoG. The clash of the two swords resonated, a light green aura appeared around Lone and Red, who was kneeling right behind Lone. And Ram's flame became bigger, Lone could no longer see the pupils of his eyes. "D-darn, he's stronger...."


Red felt his Ra-seru crackle and shake. Attack! We must retaliate!

Red went right under Lone's arms and went for a punch towards Ram's fiery ab. He couldn't help but yell "Thunder punch!" As his attack connected and a wave of electricity went across Ram's body.


Ram was blown away by the powerful blow Red delivered. But regardless of its power, Ram landed gracefully not too far from where he was standing, the flame slowly went to the sword and the arm holding it, intensifying the fire's heat. The mysterious woman walked right behind him. "Pathetic."

Ram directed the remaining flame to his blade. "I will not fail this time M'lady."

Red looked at Marelle, who stood back up and was clenching her fist.

"Pick a side so I can go home Marelle. That isn't Ram," Red lifted his Ra-seru, electricity crackled all around him as he clenched his fist. "I'm pulling him out even if it kills him."

Lone raised his sword, "Tell me why we're fighting again? Dv is still waiting for us to kill him."

That woman is not a woman, she is Dv's power source.

The woman laughed, "Hmph, still following that fool's Will? You make me sick."

Lone rushed at the woman, "Wench!"

Ram allowed Lone to pass, he was too busy smiling at Red. "You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do this!" He lifted his sword, the flame grew as he tightened his grip on the blade.

Red chuckled, "Hmph, you still afraid of green wood?" Red reached for his blade. He lifted his Ra-seru, a faint light surrounded him as his Ra-seru surrounded its in electricity. His Kemaro could be heard roaring as Red himself Roared.

Ram did not respond to Red's question, he simply made his move; Red did the same.

Conkram... This had been the first time DV came here willingly. He decided to take a more subtle approach and came alone. He abandoned everything at the Sol Tower. He didn't care, all the money and power.. humans needed that and DV was something more. He fully embraced the fact that he was neither human nor monster, but something greater. He began to realized how his body was evolving. Originally he needed to consume human flesh to prevent becoming feral, but not anymore.

He had 2 goals here.. kill Dr M and destroy the labs, files, etc so they could never create something like him again

[Rammerrush]

Ram swung his blade in an arc toward Red. "You gonna stand there all day or are you going to do something you pathetic excuse for life?" Ram thrust his sword forward and spewed flames in Red's direction.

Red easily dodged the attack. "I'm not a pathetic excuse for anything!" Red called back clearly unable to think of an appropriate comeback.

"I wasn't talking to you." Ram stated as he shot another stream of black flames his opponent's way. "I was talking to that thing on your wrist!"

Ram had been following... himself, for quite a while. Some part of him questioned why he would so willingly follow this guy in such a strange situation, but he was able to justify it with one look at the man's face. Well... his face...

"Are we almost there yet?" Ram asked for the umpteenth time.

"We'll get there when we get there." His doppleganger replied. Ram had to admit, he was starting to get on his own nerves with all this crypticness. But no sooner than the thought ran through his mind did he stop infront of himself.

"Why'd you stop?" Ram asked. He looked around the meadow they had been walking through for what seemed like a life time, trying to search for any possible reasons his escort might've stopped, but found none.

Abruptly, Ram's sword weilding mirror image crouched low to the ground and shouted, "Duck!"

Without thinking, Ram followed the order, figuring it would probably be a good idea to trust himself. A good thing too, for just as he reached the ground, some sort of light shot through the space he had just been occupying. "What was that?" Ram asked, the worry clear in his voice.

"Look and see."

Ram turned away from the irratiating version of him toward the retreating light. It began to fade into the distance, and Ram began to thank his lucky stars that it wasn't coming back to kill him.

That's when the light rose high into the sky and in an extravagant light show, the strange light exploded. "What the the the the the-" Ram began as the sky began to crumble revealing the truth of his surroundings.

Beyond the sky, the faint image of a man began to appear, at first he couldn't tell who it was but as more and more of the sky began to dissapate his identity was confirmed. "Is that Red?"

"Yup." His double replied.

The sky sized Red stared back at him, clearly angry and clearly ready for a fight. He had a glowing green blade in his hand and some strange creature on his wrist. "What am I seeing?" Ram asked his other self.

"Your seeing what you are seeing." He answered, more crypticly than usual.

"Ugh you're no help." Ram said turning back to watch the giant Red as he ubruptly dashed forward.

Ram blocked Red's assault with his burning blade only to get knocked back by a shocking punch. "Come on Ram, snap out of it!"

With a fluid movement, Ram shot up and slashed Red's wooden blade out of his hands. "There's nothing to snap out of, ever think that I might just really hate you?" Ram abruptly shot forward and grabbed Red by his shirt collar, lifting him into the air.

Red grabbed at his hand, and as soon as the creature on his wrist made contact with Ram he shot backward into a cliff face. "That's my new power Ram, just give up and get back to normal!"

"I wasn't expecting that." Ram muttered under his breath. He picked himself up and dusted himself off. "I'll have to pick up may game." He slashed his blade to the side and immediately, dark purple flames shot out, burning everything it came in contact with. "Let's take this up a notch Red!"

[Lonewulf]

The woman (whoever and whatever she was) kept darting back away from Lone as he charged her, dodging his seru-enhanced melee attacks. She made it look as effortless as gliding...maybe she WAS gliding.
Lone was suddenly aware of the voices in his head, Ra-Seru voices *Lonewulf, she is keeping her distance. We believe you should do the same. Without the Blade of Genesis a victory is uncertain!* Lone hadn't even noticed the magic blade wasn't on his back anymore, "Hey, where the the the the the did it__" *We are sorry, Red needs it more than you right now. Ram is too powerfull for him to face without it.* Lone wasn't happy about it but he accepted it nonetheless.
The strange lady laughed as Lone retreated behind cover and flung a fireball at her. She swatted it away easily. "Hiding are we? What happened to your courage?" she shouted at him. Lone popped out of cover and shouted "I got your courage right HERE!" as he launched another fireball from one hand and immediately shot a blast of ice with the other. The woman just laughed and raised her hands in front of her...the projectiles turned and flew back at Lone who narrowly avoided the impact. "Well, that was unexpecAGHGHR!!" Lone grabbed his head and roared in pain.
"You are nothing." the womans voice said in his mind, every sylable accompanied by a wave of pain. "You are weak. You are a coward. You have power but you know not how to wield it. But I can show you..." Lone could barely move for all the pain, attacking was impossible. It was all he could do to keep himself from yelling out again.
"I can make you brave. I can make you strong. I can help you." Lone was tempted...the pain was terrible. "you can...you'd help...but...DV...I" Lone struggled to speak. "Put aside your hatred of the Deadly Virus. Join me. I can make you more powerful than him and Ram combined! Just open your mind, let me in. Let me take you!"
*Nooo! Resist, Lonewulf! She lies! She....* The Ra-Seru spoke to Lone but SHE blocked them out. "They can't help you, Lonewulf. Only I can give you what you seek. JOIN ME!" Lone's head erupted with a pain never felt before. It was agony. But then...the pain lessened...and lessened again...and voices were heard. Many, many voices.
Lone's seru had fought their way through the womans mental blockade and blunted the pain. They lended their strength to Lone, allowing him his own thoughts. "We will never give in to you, woman. We will never yield. Now...GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" Lone and his seru all pushed at once, sending the voice and the pain that came with it back at its sender. The woman screamed and fell to her knees. "Your migraine powers won't help you against me, woman!" Lone started launching a full projectile assault at her. Fire, ice, electricity, blades, rocks...the whole she-bang.
The woman snarled and rose up in the air, swatting away attack after attack. Lone wasn't causing any damage but he wasn't allowing her to get any blows in either. Lone wasn't expecting to win, he was just stalling. Maybe Red could stop Ram and the two of them together could take her down...maybe. Lone could only hope.

DV stood before his creator.

"You are no longer required.. I take what I need from people and put them in their place". DV said to Dr. M, clutching his necklace that had a portion of the statue woman's power. Before the Dr could speak, DV held up his hand and shot fort several muscle tendons from his wrist and hand, impaling his maker. His necklace began to glow, as his tendons emitted a purple flame. He clenched his fist, which caused several spikes to erupt from Dr M's body, killing him.

Virus flung the lifeless corpse to the side. His palms began to excrete his poison blood, forming weapons with it. In his right, his signature shovel, in his left, an enormous scythe. He slaughtered all the remaining scientists and guards. He destroyed all the lab equipment and files so this project was erased from history.. so no one could make another dv or something stronger than him.

During the massacre, DV's necklace was damaged, causing all the power to return to its host. He wouldn't be able to abuse the power anymore, but he shrugged off the lose. He didn't need that hooker's powers anymore anyway

Part 1/2

Red clenched his Ra-seru fist, lightning surrounded his whole arm. "After you."

Opponent: Rammerush Fight!

Ram jumped in the air and attacked Red with a downwards slash. Red blocked the attack, then reached for Ram's face with his electric Ra-Seru.

Red's hand got inches from Ram's face before he jumped back. "Disgusting thing."

Red opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted. Like the opinion of a meaningless creature like you matters.

Ram responded with a grunt. "First I'll chop Red's arm off, then I'll see to it that you're destroyed."

"I wanna see you even try to look at my arm bastard." Red ran towards Ram with a sweeping sword swipe. Ram jumped out of harms way, but only to have Red jump right after him. "Actually, better yet, come see it up close." Red sent an electrical powered fist right towards Ram's face.

Ram moved his face and kneed Red in the stomach and sent a burning slash at Red right after. "No thanks!"

Red fell back fast, but managed to roll backwards before hitting the floor. Also managing to dodge the next attack by extending his roll. "Hmph." Red lifted up his arm, using the other one to hold the spot where Ram kicked him.

Amzo! Gizam!

Right.

Red ran towards Ram as Gizam was being summoned. He focused the energy he had obtained from the Genesis trees and shot it like a gun at Ram.

Ram managed to defend the attack, but was not quick enough to avoid Gizam's attack. He was sent flying back towards the mountain, coughing up blood on contact.

"Ram please..." Marelle said, coming up from behind a rock she hid behind when Ram was sent flying her direction. "Liste-"

"Silence wench!" Ram backhanded Marelle, sending her tumbling off the mountain. Red ran towards her, but couldn't reach her in time.




Luckily Lonewulf was also sent flying from an impact, one much stronger than Marelle's hit. He managed to catch Marelle and grab on to the mountain wall after a good 10 seconds. "Go Red!"

Red looked over to the mysterious woman, she was cloaked in a dark aura. No...

What?

She's regained her powers...

"2 against one..." Red muttered under his breath.

"Why is this dragging on fool? I will give you the power, just finish him!"

"Yes, M'lady!" Ram ran at Red once again. "I will not accept failure!"

Red raised his blade. "Like I'll let that happen." Red raised his sword high and got ready to attack Ram.

"Hold on tight!"

Marelle looked for the nearest ledge she could grab on to. She quickly found one and reached for it. "I can take care of myself..."

"..."

"Do you know whats gotten into Ram?"

"No. To be honest I don't care." Lone said as he tried to scale the mountain to get back to the battle. "I have DV to worry about."

"Who cares about DV?!"

Lone stopped and turned quickly to Marelle, "What?! DV is a murder! He killed my King! I must avenge my people, my king!"

"I've been chasing him forever with Ram! I'm sick of it!" Marelle channeled her anger towards her climbing. She started to scale twice as fast. "I just want things to go back to the way they were already! I'm sick of all this senseless fighting."

"..." Lone climbed back up.

"..."

Lone really couldn't fit any words in. He couldn't empathize because he really doesn't care at all. But still it didn't feel right to leave this problem unattended. "Why do you fight?"

"What?"

"Why do you fight here today?"

"To get Ram back."

"How do you plan on doing that? You saw what happened."

"..."

"You're not gonna solve this by not fighting, in fact, you're gonna get in the way." Lone started climbing faster. "Either pick a side or go home. Red wants Ram to go back to normal as much as you do." He passed Marelle.

"... I..."

"Fight for your man!"

That lady... She's the enemy. She's the one that has to die. "The last wall I have to destroy..."

Red brought his elbow down at Ram, who blocked the attack with ease. Red jumped back to avoid the familiar flame Ram had summoned. "Just give up."

Small dark snakes came out of Ram's blade. "I'll stop when both of you die."

He doesn't quit.

Forget him... Amzo said, Red was sure Ram and the mysterious lady heard it. Focus on the woman.

"Doing so if asking for death."

Ram chuckled. "You'd have an easier chancing of living with me Hollow."

Red ignored Ram and shot the old and trusty stone spear out of his arm towards the woman. The attack was completely eaten by the energy around her.

Attack now!

Red did not hesitate on rushing at the woman, but Ram intercepted Red's attack. "Not so fast."

"Ugh..." Red looked over at the woman. He had just noticed that the energy around her had faded away, but has now returned twice as stronger. "What is she?"

The worst thing to ever be created...

The stigma of the Seru race...
