Sephiroth and the Prince aren't in the top ten. I already disapprove.

WTH is Link in the top 10 >___> He's not even considered in actual character imo

His purpose was to link the player into the game iirc, if they put him up there then this list already sucks.
it really do be like that tho

They shouldn't be anywhere near the top 10 foo

I would never put him in there myself (barely Top 50 maybe)

But he deserves his spot there I guess (understandably anyway). Iconic Nintendo character all them critics grew up with, etc
this list already sucks.
I know it does v___v

But if you're putting Sephiroth in the top 10 then idk if I wanna read yours...

Definitely agree with OP. Sonic, Rockman and Ryu should be higher; they're iconic. Naruto and Goku? Neither should be on a Video game list.

Never been a big fan of top whatever game character lists, they just seem to list the same old suspects in slightly varying orders. :/ Or maybe that's because I'm a raging gaming hipster and don't particularly care for Sonic/Mario/Master Chef whatever.

Also I have to concur about Ash Ketchum/Goku etc. in there, I'm sure they could have thought of better than characters who aren't even originally from games. 'Snot lack games are lacking!! Also do characters that are meant to be vessels for the player (as it were) count? Can't say Gordon Freeman or Link are bursting with personality.

I agree

Which is why I always end up making my own list after reading them

What I figured from Link and Pac-Man and Freeman and them was that they were just going with the iconic characters that everybody knew and had a legacy or whatever.

Then again other entries on the list seem to negate that, so...idk lol

So art thou currently working on your own list Zup? I would be interested to seeee. I'd make my own but ha, I'm lazy. Maybe later.

Master Chef is what my Mum thought Master Chief was called and it just kinda stuck in general conversion.

Perhaps lists like these should stick to one or two characters a franchise? Just cuz y'know, listing every single Mario character doesn't constitute a top 50 list.

Well I was, but it ended up becoming a list of my favorite characters for whatever reason, whereas this list seems to focus on the heroes and villains of popular games, so I was kinda missing "the point" I guess

Eddie Riggs above Ryu? Really v___v
