I never said YOU replace potatoes with plantains...i said that some people do. As for where I heard it...i'm a produce manager who has worked produce for over 8 years...i know my fruits and veggies. Plantains can be used as a potato substitute...just because you dont do it doesnt mean it isnt true. It is true. Its 野菜 true.
