Final Fantasy Tactics and me go way back! I played that game every way possible, tried ridiculous challenges, and was a member of FFHacktics creating a hacked mod of the game.

Good stuff. It has its flaws though. Tactics Ogre is I think the best of this genre.

Ogre is very unique. You earn job classes by actually doing feats, like defeat a target unarmed to unlock a martial artist class. Also I love how you can be anything. All monsters and various unique characters are obtainable for your team.

Of course you did >____>

Anyone play the Tales series? I know Red was playing Abyss (my favorite).

The stories and characters are usually pretty bad (Abyss and Vesperia were some nice exceptions), but the battle system is absolutely amazing @______@

I'd rank it (Abyss and Vesperia - by extension Graces f and Xillia as well, tho I haven't played either of those) up there with Legaia and FFX

Symphonia's a pretty good one too, but I ended up playing it after experiencing Abyss, so it was kinda outdated by then. Lloyd's cool. Sheena and Raine are awesome.
