I could have SWORN that somebody or something said "Sol was under control of Uru Mais, Conkram wanted permission to use it as well, but Sol denied their access, so Conkram fought Sol for control of Uru Mais" or SOMETHING

It was made up in Furanda that the war was for Uru Mais, red... Or one of the RPG's anyway. The game only lets us know that Sol owns Uru Mais and that they're at war with Conkram for some reason. It can only be guessed that it's for ownership over Uru Mais, considering... well it's Uru Mais.
