He's falling back, the hair looks like that because it goes up as he falls down.

Advice? Stray from the typicality of both manga and traditional western superhero comic styles. Perhaps aim for a blend - maybe a new style in general

For the comic itself? Actually work on it, you slacker. Put your d*mn heart and soul into it, or it'll never be deserving of publishing and fame (even if it does get that far)
