He planned to wipe out Airbenders to stop the Avatar Cycle. As long as one survives, there will be more, and the cycle can continue

Aang was in the ice berg. Who the the the the the would have calculated for that?

Plus, he looked all over the world, he checked Aang off as dead (but he still looked anyway).


Regardless he succeed in starting the war and colonizing regions (all he wanted was to obtain material and "share" the Fire nation's prosperity with the world (obviously bull; he wanted more power.))


Do you know HOW he managed to kill off 99.9999...% of the Air-bender?

Aang was technically in suspended animation; so they really did kill off all the Air-benders.
