Red stopped walking; causing Marelle to stop. "Why'd you stop walking?"

Red was shocked. After a few hours of silence, a sudden wake up call is freaky. "What's going on guys?"

What is that beast doing?
....
You need to move faster.

Red gave the blade and Ra-seru a frown. "What's going on? You guys are freaking me out."

Marelle drop kicked Red in the back. "Who the the the the the are you talking to???"

Red got up, but refused to face Marelle until he figured out what was going on.

You need to find Dv fast.
Where is the nearest Genesis tree?

"Mt. Rikuroa. Why?"

You need to power up Amzo.

"How?"

Place the blade next to the tree and transfer the energy from the blade to Azmo.

"Marelle. You can go to Rim Elm or Home for now. I need to a few cities."

"Don't you have any Door of Winds?"

Red turned to Marelle. "2. I am saving them for an emergency."

"Lets go to Rim elm and walk from there." Said Marelle. Who was still worried that Red was hiding Ram.

Red didn't want to use them, but the is a genesis tree there. So why not?

"Fine," Red handed the wind to Marelle. "You use yours how you want." Saying this, Red left in a zephyr. Leaving Marelle alone.

"That bastard. I wanna know where Ram is, if he knows, then he knows I'm going with him!" Marelle opened the scroll and left in a gust of wind.

Upon arriving, Red noticed his blade was gone. "Huh? Where is the Genesis blade?"

He needed it. They will be back, just pray.

"But won't that awaken the tree? And how is he??"

"Don't worry about that. Just pray at the tree til he is done."

"Alright." Red made his way in Rim Elm. Marelle entered the scene shortly.

"So, this is Rim Elm." Marelle said as she made her way in.

Lone continued to rush at the 2 Conkram beasts but it felt like it was taking him weeks to get to them. As he neared them the summoned his fancy new Genesis blade which appeared to make the beasts flinch in pain. 'That's always good' Lone thought to himself before slicing the nearer beast in half. The second one tried to flee but Lone just wasn't having it. Lone threw the blade like a boomerang, cutting off both its legs just below the knees. As the beast bellowed in pain Lone lept into the air. He let out a loud war cry and brought the blade straight down through the beasts skull. 'Well, that's that I suppose. Enough playing around. Suppose I should get back to Red's place and see how things are going. Somehow it feels like....like i've been missing out on a lot of things. Probably just my imagination.' Lone headed back to Red's hoping there would be something to eat. He'd worked up an appetite.

*Sise-Neg had finally awakened in the dark of night at the foot of a massive stone flower within the Shadow Gate. He slowly pulled himself up to his feet and stretched upward, cracking his back with satisfaction*

"Aaah, that oughta do it. Now time to get this flower open! Hmm... if I remember correctly, the ancient archives in the lab under Ratayu palace contained a passage regarding these mysterious stone faces surrounding the stone flower at the center. Something about the elements being arranged in proper order. i must examine them more closely"

*Sise-Neg took several paces to the west until he reached the foot of the stone face in the southwest. He looked closely at its base and read the following: To visit the past, touch the West Key!*

"Hm...there are weathered letters and a row of four strange symbols. Based on their colors I would say that they represent the four basic elements - Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. Only one symbol is apparently correct. Let's start with...Fire."

*Sise-Neg touched the red symbol and proceeded to head north to the next stone figure. After contemplating for a moment he decides to press the Earth key.*

"I'm not sure how I know this but I feel like I know the answer to the sequence of the keys in the back of my mind. Have I seen them before?"

*Walking to the stone figure in the northeast, Sise-Neg touched the Wind key before heading to the last stone figure in the southeast and pressing the Water key. Suddenly a loud rumbling shook the area. Sise-Neg looked in the direction of the Stone Flower as it began to pry itself open and sink toward the ground.*

"YEEES! I'VE DONE IT! HAHAHAHA! I am now one step closer to exacting my revenge against that bastard Saryu!"

*Once the stone flower had stopped moving, he walked up the stone petal that led to the flower's base. Sise-Neg peered down to see a transparent, squirming goo.*

"What the? I solved the d*** riddle! The flower is supposed to lead the way! What else is there?!"

*Sise-Neg dropped to his knees and peered closely into the goo. Within he found writing that said: Know well that the Star Pearl opens the door to the past!*

"Star Pearl...I have never heard of such thing. D@MNIT!"

*Sise-Neg struck the center of the bud with his fist in frustration*

"Well there's not much I can continue to do here. I must find more information. Hm..the nearest place I may be able to acquire knowledge of the Star Pearl is in Octam. I may as well head there."

*Sise-Neg ran out of the Gate of Shadows and headed north on his way to the sign post in the road that pointed out the way to Octam. Within his mind he only hoped that he did not have to fight any monsters along the way. After three days of walking, Sise-Neg finally reached the eternal city of Octam*

"Time to find out about this Star Pearl"

*Sise-Neg took some deep breaths and entered the city. He opened the door to the central building and entered the main shrine area, witnessing multiple people praying on their knees to statues of Hari on the NW and NE corners. Going farther, he opened the door in the center of the shrine and descended down a long staircase until reaching a large chamber with four figures resembling the stone faces in the Gate of Shadows. He could see that each figure showed the correct answer to the element.*

"Of course, I must have remembered the answers subconsciously from when I first fled here after escaping Ratayu. Amazing how the mind works."

*Sise-Neg witnessed a man eying him from across the room and approached him. His eyes were keen, and he was covered from head to toe in a red cloak. The man bowed slightly*

"I know why you have come here," said the mysterious man. "You require the Star Pearl."

*Sise-Neg stared at him with suspicion*

"And how would you know this?" replied Sise-Neg.

"I know many things. I will tell you that the secret to the Star Pearl is normally revealed by reading the four Books of Prophecy. But I have already done so...see." *The man pulled out a sparkling silver orb from his pocket. It was the Star Pearl.

"I need that! Give it to me!"

*The man put the Star Pearl back in his pocket*

"I shall give you it if you can solve my riddle. Nobody has ever been able to guess it before."

"And if I lose?"

"Then I turn you back into the authorities. There is a large bounty on your head from Lord Saryu himself!"

*Sise-Neg was taken aback with this. This man somehow knew who he was. He thought for a second that he should flee, but he really needed the Star Pearl.*

"To make my offer more exciting, how about this...I have in my possession a very special item. Answer my riddle correctly and I will throw it in with the Star Pearl as a bonus."

*Sise-Neg nodded and prepared for the riddle*

"You get a single chance to answer this. Are you ready? Listen well! A man is traveling to a town and comes to a fork in the road. If he goes left, he goes to the village of lies. If he goes right, he then goes to the village of truths - which is where he wants to go. However, he does not know which way is which. He doesn't have time to go both routes, so he approaches a stranger who is standing in the middle of a fork in the road. The stranger says he may only ask 3 questions and he will answer them. The man asks, "Are you from the village of truths?" The stranger says, "Yes!" However, the man is still facing a dilemma: If the stranger was from the village of truths he can only tell the truth, but if he was from the village of liars, he would say he was from the village of truth. So then he asks the stranger, 'Are you telling the truth?' The stranger says, 'Yes!' But sadly this leaves the man in the same position as before. What must the man ask the stranger for his final question if he wishes to discover the village of truths?"

*Sise-Neg paused deep in thought and closed his eyes. After a minute he looked at the man in the red cloak and smirked.*

"The man must ask the stranger what the path is back to his own village."

"W-what?" said the man in red. "How did you answer correctly?"

"Oh it's quite simple, you see. If the stranger is from the village of truths, he will take him there. But, even if he is from the village of lies, he will still take him to the village of truths, as he would lie about which village he is from."

*Sise-Neg held out his palm gleefully as the man gave him the Star Pearl. Sise-Neg pocketed it as the man withdrew another item and held it out to him*

"This is the Bad Luck Bell. Take it and Seru will find you irresistable."

*Sise-Neg took hold of it and examined it closely. It looked like a rusted tin. Before he looked up to ask the man in red where he obtained it, the man in red had disappeared as though he had never been there. Ignoring this for now, Sise-Neg left Octam and returned to the Gate of Shadows. Once inside, he struck the Bad Luck Bell in front of the Stone Flower to test its effects. It was quiet at first, but suddenly a faint rumbling began to sound louder and louder until he could see a whole swarm of Seru coming at him. They all stopped at his feet. Sise-Neg realized that he now had a small horde of Seru at his control. The takeover of Ratayu would be easier than previously thought. He laughed so hysterically that he fell over to the ground gripping his sides. At the end of it all, he decided to turn in and take a nap with the Seru to guard him*

"Are you going to ignore us forever?" spoke a voice in Lonewulf's head. It made him jump. He kept forgetting that his Seru could talk to him now. "Sorry, still getting used to this...which one are you?" Lone asked. "Freed. It will make things easier to learn us all." Lone knew Freed was right...he'd try his best to do so. But for now he needed food. He'd arrived back at Red's place and decided to go scavenge in the kitchen.

Red had been praying at the tree for 20 minutes, Marelle grew impatient.

"What are you doing?"

Red stopped his mumbling to respond to Marelle. "Praying."

"I can see tha-" Marelle was interrupted by the sound of a sword falling.

"Ah, its here." Red got up and grabbed the blade.

Marelle's eye twitched as she tried to figure out what Red was doing. "Wha- How did that get there?"

"Its simple," Red responded, "I asked the blade to come back; took longer than expected though."

"I give up," sighed Marelle "I have no freaking clue what you're talking about." Marelle made her way to the seaside.

Welcome back.
We were needed.
"I could tell."

~~~~~~~~~~
Red picked the blade, which he had placed next to the tree a few minutes ago.
"So... like this?"
Yes, now touch Amzo with the blade.
Red tapped Amzo with the blade; who began to glow.
Yes... I can feel the power of the tree flowing.
But from what we observed, you are not strong enough to defeat Dv.
"What about Lone?"
He is more than ready; you on the other hand still need work.
Red sighed. "I thought so..."
Don't worry.. Red... We will go through this together
"Was that the first time you've said my name?" Red said with a chuckle.
...
Lone has returned; he is tired. Please go to him.
"Alright, lemme go get Marelle an-"
No.
No.
No.
No.
Red jumped, he wasn't expecting a big response. "What is it?"
She needs to process all of this. Leave her alone til sunset.
"Okay..." Red set off to his Silo hideout. He was still concerned about Marelle. She'll be pissed if he left her. "How about I leave Gimard with her? He can bring her back."
Sure. So long as she has time to herself.
You heard me Gim; go.
"Yes master!" Gimard went to the beach in search of Marelle, hoping she would come with him when it was time to go.
Red made headed for the hideout to meet Lone; hoping he became stronger in the time Red was gone.
*The green mist surrounded the Sol tower and the land around it was dying. DV had been very busy. Most of the survivors were enslaved and forced to turn the tower into a fortress. He built himself a throne made of bones of those who resisted him and dubed himself "emperor". He also commanded to dig up graves so he could reanimate the bodies with his new stolen powers*
Marelle
Marelle was laying on the beach of Rim Elm. She could feel the grainy texture of the sand against her skin, and the soft lap of the water could just barely reach her feet. "Ram..." She sighed. "Where are you?"
It had been so long since she last saw him; the real him that is. She couldn't think of that man who was wearing his face as Ram, he was too different, too dark, too... not Ram. "I swear I'll bring you back Ram," she whispered to herself. "I'll make this idiot Red bring you back."
We're going to need you back home.
"He can't help you," said an unfamiliar voice to her left. She sat up and turned to see a figure wrapped in a red cloak. "Red is as clueless with what's happening to Ram as you are."
"What about you?" Marelle asked. "Are you clueless?"
"In some things yes, but," the man paused before finishing his sentence. "With Ram, I know more than anyone, maybe even himself."
"Who are you?"
The figure unwrapped the part of the red cloak concealing his face. He was about the same age as Ram, with dark green hair and eyes to match. "Sorry, I forgot I was wearing that, I just finished some business in Octam. But to answer your question; I'm an old friend of Ram's that he has made himself forget about. He'll recall me soon enough, even if I must make him."
If this man was a friend of Ram's maybe he could help her. "Please, you have to help me." She begged. "Ram has been taken by some evil force, he isnt himself anymore and I don't know what I can do to help him."
"I know, but don't worry, Ram can definitely take care of himself. That body can only hold so many personalities."
"What do you mean?" She asked. Personalities, as in more than one?
"It's not important, what is important is that you need to find Ram, and Red can't help you with that." The man stood up and held his hand out for Marelle to stand up as well. When she was up the man gripped her by both arms and looked her in the eyes. "You might be the only one who can actually do something to help him."
The man slipped something into her hand, it was emitting a soft, steady beeping sound. "The beeping will get faster the closer you are to him. Don't let it out of your hands or tell anyone else about it. Find him alone, your the only one he might be hesitant to kill."
"Thank you," she said with tears in her eyes.
"Don't thank me, just find Ram and bring him back." He turned her around and brought his lips to her ear, and in a whisper he said, "If not for me, do it for the baby." The man pushed her forward and then in a gust of wind he was gone.
How did he know? Marelle thought. I haven't told anyone.
Red: I've seen a 10-way.
Ram: That's how I met your mother, Red.
Dv slowly built up a force of minions for him to wage war against Conkram.. manly at Dr M. He grew frustrated with his powers as most of the time he could only reanimate someone from a brief period of time.
Dv took a small break and began to dream. The first part was several people with seru joining forces. In the second dream he saw the statue woman.
"I thought i took care of you..." Virus muttered
"You can not defeat me. Try as hard as you will. You will never break me... your days are numbered Virus". she replied.
Virus only laughed and shook his head. Before he could speak he heard a faint voice say "My lady, i need your strength!"
Virus only laughed and held out his hand and syphoned power from her into him.
"Hah.... She is mine now!" Virus called out
Dv was awakened by the reanimated corpse of Cy telling him that Dr M's whereabouts had been discovered. Cy was one of the few dozen that Dv was able to raise from the dead despite being ripped in half before
Lone and his Seru talked for a while, strategically planning on the proper course of action for the plan at had: the quest for divine sustenance. Lone was starving and his Seru were ravenous. He would destroy any enemy, overcome any obstacle, for just one delicious entree. Or find a kitchen. Red's place was bigger than Lone had realized and he couldn't find where Red stored his food. The hunger was driving him mad. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice calling out his name....Red's voice...Lone rushed toward the sound hoping his ears had not deceived him. As he rounded the corner he saw Red. Red noticed Lone entering the room and turned to face him. Lone, along with all his Seru, bellowed out at the top of their lungs "FEED! US! FOOD! FEED! US! FOOD! FEED US! FOOOOOOOOOD!"
I probably didn't portray Lone right; I rushed this. I apologize if this did not met your expectations.
"..." Red pointed towards a door on the opposite side of the room. Lone rushed there quickly and gnawed on the biggest uncooked turkey he could find. "I was just about to cook something... Marelle is out; don't know when she'll be back."
Lone regain his posture and walked over to Red. "Alright I'll wait."
"So what are we having?" Lone said, clapping his hands.
"Spicy Curry; Can you handle the spice?"
Lone took the bowl from Red's hands, "You offend me." Lone started to gobble everything he could see in his bowl. Meanwhile, Red walked back to the stove to serve himself.
Red had just sat down when lone yelled 'finished!' He chuckled. "Well?"
Lone got up and walked to the bathroom, "Needs more spice."
"Wait, we need to head out for a few towns real quick on our way to Sol."
Dv has become a monster.
We must stop him soon.
Lone stopped and turned, "We leave at midnight; lets rest now."
"So soon? Midnight is in about 4-5 hours." Red could feel Lone's eyes stabbing right through him. "Alright, alright. Midnight it is. First we head for Jeremi; the closest city in our path."
Lone turned towards the bathroom again. "Whatever; I'm not waiting longer than 30 minutes for you."
"I'll only need about 10, don't worry. If anything goes wrong; you can go ahead."
"Whatever."
