Do You Side With Sol or Conkram?

The reasons for the war are never looked at (perhaps when my Legaia sourcebook from Japan arrives in about a week it will go into that with a little depth) but we do know it was serious enough to have Sol and Conkram fight each other for over 10 years. Which city do you find yourself more sympathetic toward? I'm not talking about the city's overall fate, as it's clear who gets the worse end of the deal at Legaia's conclusion. But based on whatever, be it aesthetics, NPCs or what have you, if the war between Sol and Conkram was allowed to play itself out and have an ultimate victor by military victories, who would you like to have seen win the war?

I think the reasoning for the war was said in like 2 lines of monologue in the game somewhere, but I don't remember. Didn't it have something to do with ownership of Uru Mais or something related to the ownership of the Seru in Uru Mais?

I personally would have preferred Sol to win, but there are some people in Conkram that I do feel sympathy for - not because of the outcome of what happens to the city.

Everyone in Sol in Legaia didn't show any kind of "hatred" or madness before the Mist was presented...Everyone was at each others sides the entire time... At least that's the way it appeared. As for Conkram, we do have the leading antagonists located there and the King nor the Queen even realized this at the time. I know most people think that Cort went mad because of the Mist and possibly got possessed by a Rogue - but I still disagree. When it shows Noa being held in the arms of her mother, you can see Cort walk away with the Seru still on his back. This was before the machine went haywire and the Mist entered the city of Conkram. It just wasn't mentioned from his father about the Seru... So in reality, I think that the Sim-Seru was only a way of upgrading Cort's "power" and making it possible to create such machines. After all, they ended up making Sim-Seru to only possess other humans, such as Saryu.

But back on topic - I still would have sided with Sol. After all, they have a lot more stuff to enjoy! They were masters at many things, while the only real thing Conkram had was the fact it had a better military might (it said that in the game, didn't it?). Sol just had technology - plus the laws to take the "new" Seru from Uru Mais.

I guess it does get to your head after a while...lol. Especially with playing Slot Machines constantly.

conkram...because unlike sol, conkram is a actual kingdom!! not just a tower

Conkram also. i agree with red. the tower is only just like a market.

After completing the script (which I have yet to upload the most recent update on gamefaqs since I still need to get the dialog from Saryu after reaching 99, I'm in the 70s currently) I didn't find anything saying that Uru Mais was the reason for the war. Although, it is suggested that the reason Sol started to win the war was because of a new Seru that was appearing out of Uru Mais.

I guess if we really want to find out I have to find a way to e-mail the script writer and ask him.

I believe it was because of territory (around uru mais) but sol got their first or something, and then to help win an outnumber battle, cort brought the mist
Idk if that's correct? But I know that king empron iiv or something reined during that time

I'm sure you did, but did you talk to the scientists inside Sol? I can't remember if there were some near the king or if it's the ones where all the broken jars are, but I could have swore that they mentioned something along the lines of there being some sort of debate or fight over ownership of Uru Mais.

I definitely side with Sol. Sol is one of my favorite parts of the game. There's just so much to do there! If one of the areas gotta go down....i would rather have Conkram fall to Sol.
