Uthma sighed the bandit leader, thinking him to be quite pathetic. He sheathed his sword
and placed his hands behind his head, closing his eyes in boredom.

"Hey, guys! Can you come over here? There's a dude here..."

At Uthma's calling, Wendy, Raive, and K73SK walked over to see the bandit in a very vulnerable
position and Uthma standing before him, completely relaxed.

"Eh, dude wants some mercy, but I dunno if he deserves it. Any opinions?"

"Just let him go, Uthma," said Wendy.

"I agree," Raive added. "I believe he's learned his lesson.

K was not as sympathetic. "Bastard was looting dead bodies? Tch. Kill him."

Uthma sighed again. "Sorry old man. Majority rules." He turned to the bandit leader, narrowing his eyes.
"You're lucky, punk. Get outta here, and never come back. I'll kill you next time I see you."

The bandit nodded,relieved. He fumbled to his feet and sprinted away, never looking back or slowing
his pace.

"So," Uthma said. "You guys find shell pieces?"

"Actually," Wendy replied, bringing the suitcase into all of their views. "Raive and I found this suitcase
over there. It's in great shape, too. How'd it survive the blast?"

"Lemme get a look at that," said K73SK. He crouched down and inspected the case, and used particular
observation on the password panel. "Hmph. This is Damien's for sure. He was the only guy paranoid enough
to use passcode locks. Rest of us just used keys."

"What do you think is inside?" Raive asked.

K shrugged. "Not sure. Could be anything. The only thing I know, really, is that we're not gonna open it
without the password. This is made of Mushura bones. Unbreakable."

"So should we keep it?" asked Uthma. "If we ever find that Damien guy, we could try getting that password outta
him."

"Sounds good to me," said Wendy. "We didn't find shells though."

"Ah, I did," K73SK said, showing them the shell. "It's phenomenal that it survived. Damien's had some real
funding behind him. There's gotta be a rich guy or even an organization backing him, secretly. This one's
made out of a Gimard skull."

"That's...kinda gross," Wendy remarked.

"Any idea where the bomb came from?" Uthma said.

The old man nodded. "Well the tape showed the flyer coming in from somewhere in the north. With how
well-made and expensive this bomb was and would cost, it's gotta be from somewhere with money. All I can
think of are Conkram and the Zalan Mafia Tower nearby.

"You think the Zalan Mafia funded Damien?" Raive asked. "They've always been rather sinister."

K nodded. "That was my suspicion. I doubt the Conkram royal family have anything to do with weapons of this
caliber. They've taken it easy since redbuilding the city and castle outside of the clam shell."

"Well we're not gonna just stroll into the Zalan Mafia Tower; we'll be shot on sight."

"Again, it's up to you," replied K73SK.

Being the slacker that he was, Uthma shrugged and sighed. "Eh. Let's just start walking. We'll do whatever when it
happens. K73SK grunted, Raive face-palmed, and Wendy rolled her eyes.

The walk was a long one, and the group had to take several breaks along the way. Surprisingly, K was the one who
never complained, even with his advanced age. Even Raive asked to stop once.

"Ugh, I don't think there's anything here!" Wendy groaned. "We should've just taken a-"

She stopped as Uthma drew his sword. The rest of the party followed suit.

"What is it?" Raived whispered.

"Soren..." Uthma replied, looking all around them at the surrounding trees.

"Oh, s***," said K73SK. "We're near Dhini, aren't we?" Raive nodded in response.

"Well, well, well," said a voice from a branch nearby. "What are humans doing way out here? You guys stupid or
just lost?"

Laughter from other hidden Soren erupted from the trees. Uthma gritted his teeth. "We don't want trouble!"

The Soren leader crossed his arms, smiling. "Well then what brings you way out here in our turf? We've already
shown you that your oppression of our people doesn't work."

"We don't want trouble, Soren," said K, gripping his katana handles. "We're just passing through."

"Yeah, I don't think so," the leader replied. "Attack!"

Two Soren swooped in behind Wendy, who was forced to kick back at one and stab the other in the shoulder.
Raive made them back up with a spear swing. On the other side, K73SK slashed at another Soren wielding an
axe. Uthma was pinned down by two carrying short swords.

"Arctes!" yelled one of the Soren still in the trees, addressing the leader of this band. "What you think's in that
suitcase of theirs?"

"Soren, halt!" yelled Arctes. The fighting stopped as he said it. "Gimme that suitcase."

"That's not yours!" Uthma replied. "Just leave us alone and we'll leave!"

Arctes shook his head. "Humans aren't the most....trustworthy people. At least to us, they're not. Give us the
suitcase and you're free to go. Refuse...we'll kill you and take it from your corpses. Your choice."

"Guys, huddle up," said Uthma.

"We're not handing it over, are we?" asked K.

"No, we need a plan," Uthma replied. "Alright, here's what we're gonna do."
