Redhollow readied the scythe by leaning it on his shoulders, analyzing the situation for the perfect opportunity to strike. It came in the form of two incoming Soren from a higher elevation, aiming their spears downward for impalement from above.

The ninja slowly crouched downward, then sprang out in a spiral, the scythe leading the way. His feet threw him high into the air, and the scythe cut its way in a circular motion, cutting the spears in half before slicing across the necks of the Soren attackers. He landed on his feet in total silence and turned to the remaining Soren, flicking the blood from the blade of his weapon.

As Redhollow charged into the crowds and battled and slaughtered as many as he could, Mr. Virus jumped into the scene as well. His lumbering figure collided with two Soren opponents of his own, slamming them against a tree. His shovel slammed against the heads of both over and over and over and over again, tearing at their necks and drawing more and more blood with each swing. For added cruelty, the monstrous shovel-wielder gripped their Cyber Seru wings and ripped them right off, causing a younger Soren in a nearby tree to vomit in horror.

Damien, on the other hand, was busy tinkering with the Kemaro, who tried its best to lick him as he approached for upgrading. While he was typically a hard*ss, he couldn't help but smile and pet the animated Seru, utilizing his extreme skill to give the Kemaro less cool down between fang shooting, faster movement, and higher jumps. The mobile Cyber Seru upgrade kit he kept on his person at all times returned to a hidden pocket in his clothes, and he told the Kemaro to run free and attack, which it was glad to do, searching for its master in the midst of the skirmish.

"Alright, you're all pissing me off!" yelled Mr. Virus. He smashed his shovel into a nearby tree, catching the attention of nearby surviving Soren. He suddenly brought the weapon high into the air, then downward into the skull of a stunned Soren.

Unfortunately for Virus, the Soren was able to roll out of the way. Fortunately for Virus, however, he happened to strike a buried Cyber Seru bomb, and his immense strength was enough to set it ticking.

"What have you done now..." Damien muttered, rolling his eyes.

The brute smiled. "Sounded like a bomb to me. F*ck yeah!"

Redhollow dropped down next to his two allies, cleaning blood from his scythe on the nearby grass. "What are we talking about?"

Damien sighed. "Ugh...he just activated a buried bomb. We dumped them in this region after they failed to pass the safety tests at the time."

"Why'd they fail?" asked the ninja.

"Because they're extremely deadly. What other reason did you expect?"

"Shut up...So how big is this explosion?"

"Big enough to wipe out the northern hemisphere," Virus chuckled.

"Actually," said Damien. "I'd estimate that there are about 33 bombs down here. While it wouldn't do any serious damage to the planet, you're not too far off in the range of the explosion."

"Why aren't we running?" asked Redhollow.

"Good point," replied the Seru programmer. He suddenly shoved Redhollow to the floor and sprinted off away from the burial site as quickly as he could, followed closely by Mr. Virus. The ninja easily caught up, though the blow to his ego wasn't as fast to recover.
