"Are we almost there?" asked Elena. "My feet are starting to hurt."

Raive nodded, brushing some foliage out of his way. "It should be just beyond - here we go."

The spring sat in the middle of the clearing, and it had grown to incredible size over the ages since Vahn, Noa,
and Gala's adventures. It was surrounded by a camp with tents adorned in jewels and flawless fabrics. The
hunters wore expensive, detailed armor and carried spears and swords of incredible build.

As they moved toward the spring, the two were greeted by a pair of hunters who recognized them.

"Ah, Raive! Elena! It's been quite some time since you came here last, huh?"

Raive nodded. "Yeah. It's more beautiful than I remember."

The hunter shook Raive's hand and bowed in Elena's direction. "Well, what brings you two here after all these years?"

"The book."

The hunter's smile disappeared for an instant before returning. "The book? Well...it's not within my knowledge
where it is. You would have to ask Lady Ailee."

Raive nodded and lead Elena towards the largest tent that looked to be transforming into a small temple by the
construction working around it. Inside, Elena asked, "Who's Lady Ailee again? I never met her before."

"She's one of the two leaders of the hunters, along with Z."

Elena's eyes widened. Z was a legendary fighter and the most feared man in the Drake Kingdom, and possibly
even beyond that. She had only seen him once, when he defeated rogue Drake Castle soldiers, killing them
all with the legendary Astral Sword.

As they entered the tent, Raive and Elena were escorted by the entrance guard to the two beautiful chairs
in the back that looked very similar to the chairs in the Drake Castle throne. On one sat the most beautiful
woman either Raive or Elena had ever seen. To her right, standing, Was Z, staring at Raive and Elena, the
mighty Astral Sword on his back.

Raive and Elena went to their knees and bowed to both Ailee and Z, the former smiling and nodding and the
latter moving up to speak with them directly.

"Raive, was it? What brings you here?"

The redheaded man looked up to Z. "We need the book, Sir Z."

Z raised an eyebrow, then, after a few moments of pausing, nodded. "The book huh? Alright, excuse me." He
moved to one of the guards to the side, whispering commands to him. The guard exited the tent while Z went
and sat on the empty throne next to Lady Ailee, who asked, "What book, Z?"

"It's...an instruction manual. For a certain hidden weapon in the Sol Kingdom. I'm guessing it has something to
do with the Zalan Mafia Tower there?"

Raive nodded.

Z smiled. "I wouldn't wanna miss that. Would you mind if I tagged along?"

Both Raive and Elena were surprised. Z clarified with, "Not with you directly, as I have work to do here. But
since it would take a day to set up and get it running properly, would you mind if I dropped in later? I want to
see it myself."

Raive shrugged to Elena and nodded.

Suddenly the guard who had exited bursted into the tent, and urgent look on his face and a gash in his shoulder.
"S-Sir Z! The Zalan Mafia! They-"

Z sprang into action, gathering three guards to escort Lady Ailee to safety while he slipped on his helmet and drew
his mighty Astral Sword in both hands. He motioned to Raive and Elena, saying, "Would you mind helping?"

The mafia were made up of thuggish-looking soldiers wielding black swords, spears, knives, axes, and the
occasional club. The Hunters had been doing a good enough job keeping themselves alive and taking down
the mafia members, but they were severely outnumbered.

Sir Z stormed onto the scene, the Astral Sword slicing through two mafia members standing back to back.
Raive rushed to clash spears with another while Elena fired off electric bolts with her fists.

The Zalan Mafia continued to pour in from the woods, killing the occasional Hunter and advancing towards
the center tent. Raive and Elena went back to back, with Raive disarming the mafia members' weapons and Elena
throwing electricity in their faces.

From the tent emerged another squad of Hunters, lead by Lady Ailee wielding her sabre. She ran towards Z,
who bent down to allow Ailee to leap over him and impale an incoming mafia member. Z twisted until he was in
front of his wife, blocking a throwing knife and beheading an incoming enemy swordsman.

"Elena! Here comes another!" Raive called. He thrust his spear diagonally into the ground and then pulled it
back out, forcing a mafia member to trip and stumble in Elena's direction. Elena kicked the man in his stomach
then slammed his jaw with a brutal electric uppercut.

The Hunters' numbers were beginning to drop due to the sheer amount of Zalan Mafia thugs storming in. Soon enough,
Sir Z and Lady Ailee were getting swarmed with them, as they were recognized to be the leaders. Lady Ailee danced
around as many as she could, disarming or crippling them while Sir Z delivered the finishing blows, but they were still
only two fighters.

"Raive what should we do?!?"

Raive motioned towards Rim Elm in the distance, ordering Elena to get help from Uthma and the others as soon as she could. The girl ran off, following orders from her superior. Raive stayed behind and took on a few Zalan thugs himself.

Meanwhile, Sir Z and Lady Ailee were starting to gain momentum and were decimating the Zalan Mafia forces. Sir Z would twirl with his mighty Astral Sword, tearing blood from any enemy who dared come into range. He swung the blade diagonally upward, then released his right hand, controlling the purple sword with only the left, which directed it around his back and into his waiting right hand to stab into a rushing thug. Lady Ailee darted left and right within the area the two had claimed as their battle spot, her sabre slicing through the air and throat countless throats as well.

Elena dashed forward to slam her shoulder into the inn door, but fell onto her face when Redollow opened the door to allow her in. He and K shared laughs that echoed around the entire inn, and soon enough, other patrons joined in the laughter.

"Spazz," said Wendy, helping Elena to her feet. "Where's Raive?"

Elena opened her mouth to answer, but suddenly a confused expression popped up on her face. "I...uh...I don't remember. Wait...."

"You guys went to the Hunter's Forest..." said Wendy. "So...where is he now?"

"Oh yeah!" Elena replied. "You guys gotta come -"

"You're gonna have to do more than just say to, girl," said a drunk man in the corner. The others at his table howled in laughter, slamming the table with their mugs and fists.

Wendy rolled her eyes. "Is something wro-?"

Elena suddenly grabbed Wendy by the wrist and launched her out the inn, running to K and Uthma and leading them out to leave as well. "No time! Let's go!"

The group burst into the spring camp with Uthma leading the way. He chopped down one thug and ducked under the incoming blade of another, stabbing this second one in the stomach. To his right, K73SK swiftly drew his right katana, cutting the back of a Zalan Mafia member looking the other way before replacing the blade.

Elena ran towards Raive, Sir Z, and Lady Ailee, throwing electric waves with her fists at thugs to stop their swarming progress. Wendy sliced at the enemies that charged at her, taking her for a weak opponent and an easy kill.

The Zalan Mafia forces were finally beginning to die out. The last kills went to Uthma, K73SK, and Sir Z. The young mercenary and K73SK decided to finish their share of enemies in style, with Uthma jumping off the back of his Cyber Seru programming ally and over the opponent, stabbing him in the back while K73SK cut his head off. Sir Z gripped the Astral Sword in both hands, then hopped forward and chopped down, severing the enemy's body into two pieces.

"I thank you all for your assistance today," said Sir Z back in his and Lady Ailee's tent, the Astral Sword leaning against his throne. "We've been attacked by the Zalan Mafia before, but never in numbers as large as this. I've already sent Hunters out to gain some intel."

"It was a pleasure, Sir Z," said Raive, kneeling and bowing. The others followed his lead.

Lady Ailee motioned to a guard, who brought a dusty old book to her. "Thankfully, this book you two wanted wasn't stolen or damaged in the attack. You've more than earned it."

The book was brought over to Raive by a guard.

"So what's this book for anyway?" asked Uthma. "Must be important if you really brought us into a skirmish to get it."

"We'll need it for the Zalan Mafia Tower in the Sol Kingdom," replied Raive, not offering much more in terms of information. He turned back to Sir Z, nodding his head. "Thank you, Sir Z. Will you still be joining us when the weapon is ready?"

The Astral Sword wielder nodded. "Of course. I'll finish up some Zalan Mafia business and be on my way as soon as I can. Again, thank you five for your assistance today."

"So who were those two?" asked Uthma as they all made their way through the Hunter's Forest and towards the nearest Cyber Seru Train station to head to Sol. "They important or something?"

"That was Sir Z and Lady Ailee," replied Raive from the back of the group, taking up rear defense. "They're the leader of the Hunters."

"Was he wielding the legendary Astral Sword?" asked K73SK. Raive nodded. "How did he obtain it?"

"I'm not sure of the details. Elena?"

The girl shook her head. "I dunno either."

"And even if you did, you would've forgotten it," said Wendy, giggling. Elena punched her on the arm, and the redheaded girl mouthed "owwww..." and held the spot that was struck.

"And what's this weapon thing?" the mercenary in the lead questioned. "And why do we need it?"

"You have a lot of questions, kid," replied K, ruffling his hair. "The Zalan Mafia doesn't really like questions. Neither do I."

"You'll see when you see," said Raive, smiling.

"I've never seen you act like this before," said Wendy, looking at her brother. "So this must be something pretty good."

Raive turned to Elena and winked. The forgetful young woman smiled. "If it's what I think it is, then yeah...it's awesome!"

Redhollow swung the scythe in a downward diagonal hooking motion, severing the branch of the tree his Soren opponent had just been perched on. The target leaped into the air and used his Cyber Seru wings to fly to another tree on the opposite side of the clearing. His spectating Soren brethren laughed at the spectacle.

"Just kill him already!" yelled Mr. Virus. "C'mon! I wanna see some blood!"

Redhollow growled. "Fine," he muttered. Suddenly his Kemaro leaped out from his back, running round and round the clearing, its mouth wide open in the deceptively happy expression it was known for. Some of the Soren who had not seen one before (due to its relative rarity nowadays) were rightfully curious at the little dog-like Cyber Seru hopping around.

"That thing needs some serious upgrading," muttered Damien.

The kemaro suddenly fixed its sigh on the Soren in the trees who had challenged Redhollow to a duel. At the order of its master, the Kemaro revealed its wicked fang and fired it off.

The spear-like tooth pierced through the Soren's chest, throwing the body backwards and onto the forest ground. The other Soren dissolved into either shock or anger, turning their weapons on Redhollow, Mr. Virus, and Damien.

Red: Slash mercilessly at the Soren, each slash filling with more and more power until he comes to the leader. he slashes, the leader ducks and he breaks his blade on a hard stone.

Virus: Grabs a handful of Soren and takes a bite of some of them. He gets agravated when his enemies continue evading his grasp with their wings. So out of anger his throws his shovel at the nearest one only to miss his target and hit Red in the back, The shovel planting it's blade inside him.

Damien: Moves over to Red's Kemaro and starts to tinker with it midbattle.
