* * * PART TWO * * *

Uthma opened and closed his Zenoir fist a few times, mentally preparing himself for the upcoming battle. He, Wendy, Elena, and twenty or so Hunters were marching towards the cave entrance just outside of the Zalan Mafia Tower. One Hunter had suggested charging straight for Ratayu, but endangerment of the citizens and the outward appearance of doing so would alert the other monarchs, particularly in Sol.

They had to do this stealthily.

The mercenary looked to his left to see Wendy marching a few feet behind him, nervously biting her lip and glancing left and right. On his right side was Elena, a big white smile plastered on her face, her fists bopping against one another in excitement. Uthma couldn't help but chuckle.

Within a few minutes of more silent march, the small army arrived at the entrance of the tunnel. It was now time to charge. Before so, however, Uthma felt the need to say something.

"Uh...so...we're charging down this tunnel...I...actually haven't been down it myself...but I am almost entirely positive that it leads to Ratayu."

"Ugh you're not even sure if it's taking us to the right place?" Wendy muttered to herself, rolling her eyes and folding her arms.

Uthma glared at her before returning his attention to the attack force. "This is...not gonna be an easy attack. If any of you wish to leave...I understand."

To his great pleasure, none of them budged. Elena even slammed her fists together, ready for battle. "C'mon, Uthma! Enough chatter! Let's go fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~iiiiiight!"

The mercenary shrugged, drawing the new sword he bought from the Vidna weapon shop. He smirked to himself and pointed the sword into the tunnel. "Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge!"

* * *

The first few minutes of marching through the tunnel were uneventful. That all changed when the sewer system transformed into a standard, clean tunnel that went straight on north, towards Ratayu. It began with slight echoes in the distance that soon manifested themselves into the sound of...

Cyber Seru.

"Here they come!" Uthma warned, readying his sword. The first wave were a mixture of Veras and Vera-Pueras. Uthma sliced through a couple before he had to duck underneath one charging for his neck.

Elena let out a "Woooooooo!" before shooting orbs of electricity into the Cyber Seru, feeling particular glee at destroying two in one.

Wendy was more reluctant to fight, but when she was forced to, she went all out, running along the tunnel walls in order to slice and stab into the fliers.

Once the Vera wave was cleared, the force continued onward, bombarded with Gimard fireballs. The Hunters wielding shields quickly maneuvered to the front of the force, protecting them. The line of Hunters behind them carrying ranged weapons fired their projectiles over the shields, scoring a few hits.

Uthma himself was part of this attack force. He crouched behind the shield line, charging up a fireball in his Zenoir fist before hurling it over. It let off a particular large explosion on impact, destroying several Cyber Seru with each volley.

The shields became somewhat useless when the Zenoir came into the picture. They easily overpowered the Hunters, ripping the protection from their hands. Behind them came odd Nova-Nightos, who opened their torsos like a Nighto in order to trap foes there - like one unfortunate Hunter.

Gotta pick up the pace! They're coming in faster!

Uthma leaped over the front lines of the Hunter's, slamming his Cyber Seru arm into the Zenoir, breaking off two of its fingers. He then slashed across it with his new sword, defeating it for good. He sprinted forward into the Nova-Nighto force, leading in with the slashing kick attack he had learned from his dream. To his right, Wendy and Elena tag-teamed a Swordie-Kemaro, and unlike the one they had faced on the battlefield, they were successful and easily defeated it.

By that time, the Cyber Seru attackers were starting to diminish. The victory was great for Uthma and his team - only one casualty and no injuries other than one Hunter spraining his ankle. They pressed onward, soon reaching a stair system that led to what Uthma believed was Ratayu.

The mercenary turned back to his companions. Elena responded with a smile and rapid nodding. Wendy was still somewhat reluctant, but she gave a thumbs up.

He nodded back before heading up the stairs, pushing the door open.

Holy the the the the...

"Welcome, fools!" Sise-Neg's voice echoed. He was on a balcony of sorts. The entire room was incredibly dark - Uthma could hardly make anything out, though there was a certain red tint to it. In front of him was one large stairway leading up towards Sise-Neg, wide enough to accommodate an army of Cyber Seru.

An an army of Cyber Seru it did accommodate.

But there was an even more frightening sight to behold.

To Sise-Neg's right stood a towering, massive Cyber Seru. It was not quite as large as it's ancient Seru ancestor and inspiration, but Uthma knew it too well.

Sise-Neg's laugh boomed around the large room beneath Ratayu. He directed Uthma's force's attention to the giant Cyber Seru beside him. "Say hello to my Ultra Cyber Seru! Juggernaut!"

* * * PART THREE * * *

The...Juggernaut... Uthma swallowed the lump in his throat, starting to breathe nervously. This was far beyond what he expected to encounter here. Now that he thought about it...he really hadn't put much thought into the attack in the first place.

What did he expect? To waltz in, tear through Cyber Seru fodder and slay Sise-Neg?

What about the massive numbers he hadn't anticipated? What about the Cyber Seru Sword having a shot at a fatal blow to his arm?

What about that Juggernaut?

Uthma looked straight at the Ultra Cyber Seru, though he could not bring himself to look it in the eyes. It appeared to be sitting in a giant vat of some sort. Its upper body was visible. It did show signs that it was artificial - its movements were jerky and always in a line. It was like a giant machine whose parts were traveling down a conveyor belt before turning a ninety degree angle to the next lane. The beast was mostly black, but purple veins characteristic of Cyber Seru were stretched around its body, glowing faintly. The sound it made was not unlike a raspy roar, and Uthma could swear he heard gears turning inside of the beast's throat. He swallowed another lump, turning his attention back to Wendy and Elena.

Wendy was just about ready to drop her weapons. Even Elena was impacted. The eager smile on her face was wiped out and replaced by wide eyes and a slightly open mouth. The Hunters as well seemed to have lost their resolve.

There's no way...Juggernaut?

"Succumbing to fear I see!" mocked Sise-Neg, laughing. "Well...that's quite the bore! I expected at least some futile resistance! But do as you wish! Slay them!"

The Iotas in the front charged straight for Uthma and his force. The mercenary was not feeling up for fighting all out, but he had no choice. His sword swiped out in front of him, severing the first Cyber Seru's head. He hurled another fireball at the second and dashed to meet the third half-way.

For the first few moments, Uthma was the only one fighting, though he was too distracted to take any notice.

Wendy was lost in thought, and set to collapse to the ground. It was only Elena's grabbing her wrist that stopped her.

"Wendy c'mon!" the forgetful girl called, pulling the red-haired girl after her. Wendy was at a loss for words, but nodded and charged straight after her friend, not requiring her tug. The Hunter force soon followed.

"There is the show I desired!" Sise-Neg roared, raising his Cyber Seru Sword high into the air. "Fight well, Uthma!"

And fight well he did. He leaped over a Swordie-Kemaro and drilled his foot into the chest of a Nighto before slicing it clean in half. His fist was surrounded by flames and he slammed his fist straight down into the confused Swordie-Kemaro, exploding it into pieces.

Wendy and Elena made quite the tag-team. Wendy would lead the charge with rapid slashes and stabs with Elena providing ranged support via electricity projectiles. When Wendy tired, Elena would roll over her back and take up the melee with powerful punches to give Wendy time to rest.

Uthma looked up from the Gimard he had slain, and couldn't help but smirk as the Cyber Seru army was already cut in half. Maybe we can do this after all...

But Sise-Neg was quick to dash that hope. "Juggernaut! Attack!"

Uthma was frozen in his place as the Ultra Cyber Seru let out a mechanical roar. Its jaw was wide open, and beginning to glow a light blue. The mercenary rolled to the side to avoid the massive beam of energy. It singed the ends of his shoes and pants, and obliterated a good dozen or so Cyber Seru. It even wiped out two Hunters.

What the the the the the?!? Uthma looked up the Juggernaut, who was beginning to lower its head to the battlefield in order to bite at Uthma and his force. He slashed across the beast's lower jaw, but felt a stinging vibration in his arm as the blade bounced right off of the incredibly tough surface.

"Uthma!" Wendy called. The mercenary turned around to see Elena and Wendy running towards him. He was about to say something when Elena launched the red-haired girl onto the Juggernaut's head.

"What are you doing?!?"

"There's a weak point behind its head!" Wendy called, struggling to find her balance on the Juggernaut's skull. "On the back of the neck!"

Uthma nodded before tackling Elena to dodge the Juggernaut's heavy chomp. The two quickly hopped to their feet and continued to run around, avoiding more bites from the Ultra Cyber Seru.

Wendy fell onto her stomach as the Juggernaut's violent biting motion forced her to lose her balance. She reached for a jutting spike on its back so as not to fall into the vat the Juggernaut was sitting in. She nearly vomited from the gruesome sight below - dead human bodies piled up, cut open, burned, and stomped on. Nevertheless, she located her destination and began to climb for it, carefully stopping when the Juggernaut threatened to throw her off.

Uthma waited until the Juggernaut brought its head in close before throwing a powerful punch into its face. Luckily for him, it managed to do some damage.

Unfortunately, the Juggernaut also managed to bite down on the Zenoir arm, beginning to life Uthma high into the air to devour him.

"Uthma!" Elena called, fear in her voice. She threw balls of electricity as fast as she ever had, but they did almost nothing to the Ultra Cyber Seru.

To make matters worse, the lifting motion threw Wendy from the Juggernaut's back, and she began to fall down into the darkness below the battlefield, unable to survive such a fall.

Uthma shut his eyes as he felt the Juggernaut reach its peak, ready to open its jaws to swallow him whole.

It never happened.

Instead, the Juggernaut roared in pain, releasing the mercenary. He fell downward into a group of Hunters who caught him. Uthma was completely in shock and confused. He turned to the Juggernaut to see-

Redhollow chopping into the weak point of the Ultra Cyber Seru.

Wendy! the mercenary looked to where she had fallen, and breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Mr. Virus carrying her over his shoulder, whistling as he lightly kicked his shovel as he walked.

Sise-Neg was visibly surprised. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. "Redhollow! Virus! How nice of you to join them!"

"Uthma!" Redhollow called, ignoring the lord of Ratayu. He grabbed onto a spike on the Juggernaut's back as the beast writhed in pain. Uthma looked to the ninja. "Get off your こし and come fight!"

Uthma nodded, smirking. He stood up and rolled his shoulders, but he was without a weapon. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see a Hunter smiling, handing him the mighty Astral Sword. "Redhollow brought it for you, Uthma sir. We gave him back the scythe you told us to carry."

The mercenary grinned, looking back to the Juggernaut, lifting the Astral Sword above his head. Wendy, Elena, and Mr. Virus were right beside him, and he nodded.

Time to kill the Juggernaut...

* * * PART FOUR * * *

Sise-Neg was starting to fear the tides of battle turning at the unexpected arrival of Redhollow and Mr. Virus - and the great help they managed to prove. The lord of Ratayu glanced down to his Cyber Seru Sword, and smirked to himself.

It was time to put it to use.

* * *

Uthma punched out three fireballs, and smirked as they burning through the air, striking the Juggernaut in the throat. The Ultra Cyber Seru started to lower its head to smash its jaw and crush Uthma, but it raised its head upwards in pain again as Redhollow's scythe pierced the back of its neck.

Uthma stopped running as Elena grabbed him by the arm. He looked to her, and she was grinning. She then cupped her hands together and lowered them in front of the mercenary. He nodded back and set his foot there, lifting the Astral Sword as Elena launched him at the Juggernaut.

The purple blade sliced down and managed to open a small cut in the Juggernaut's skull, earning Uthma another shriek of pain. This time, however, the beast was ready. The Juggernaut raised its head upward again, and its mouth began to glow that familiar blue. Instead of shooting the ray down at Wendy, Elena, Mr. Virus, and the Hunters, however, it shot the beam straight into the roof.

The ceiling began to collapse, and rocks fell down onto the entire battlefield. Each time a piece of debris bounced off the Juggernaut, the vibration moved through its body, threatening to topple Uthma and Redhollow. To make matters worse, Sise-Neg was beginning to shoot fatal energy waves at Uthma, nearly striking his arm on several occassions.

The Juggernaut lowered its head to gaze at Elena, who had been hurling electricity balls at the Ultra Cyber Seru while also trying to avoid getting crushed from the falling ceiling debris. Wendy was unable to really do any damage to the Juggernaut at that point, and she instead opted on keeping the remaining Cyber Seru away from Elena and Virus as they worked. Mr. Virus simply stood there, incredibly calm. It was only when the Juggernaut was in range that his shovel slammed against its jaw, managing to dent it with each impact.

Sise-Neg! Uthma thought to himself, scrambling towards the spikes on Juggernaut's back - the same location Redhollow was at. What the the the the the is his problem?!?

The mercenary looked to the balcony and narrowed his eyes as he caught the gaze of Sise-Neg. His eyes widened as a wave of Cyber Seru Sword energy shot straight at his arm. He barely managed to move his arm out of the way. He was, unfortunately, struck in the leg, and he lost his balance.

Luckily for Uthma, Redhollow was quick to catch his ankle with the end of his scythe. Uthma gritted his teeth as the sharp blade cut him a bit, but thankful for the rescue. Redhollow yanked on the scythe, pulling Uthma up sharply. The mercenary groaned as the motion cut his ankle even more. Nevertheless, the pull was enough for Redhollow to lean over and grab Uthma's leg.

"You okay?" the ninja asked, having difficulty lifting Uthma up with only one arm.

"Y-yeah!" Uthma replied. He struggled to locate Sise-Neg, feeling disoriented from the change of perspective and constant exposure to the dimly lit room. He managed to find him, and noticed he had stopped using his sword. He even turned his attention to someone else...

To Mr. Virus, who leaped into the air, smashing his shovel into the Juggernaut's head.

It was enough to finally destroy the Ultra Cyber Seru.

Uthma smiled at the victory, then realized that he and Redhollow were on the thing. They scrambled to their feet, rushing towards the floor where the others were as they felt the Juggernaut beginning to collapse underneath their feet. They were almost to the end when the neck snapped straight off of the body - them included.

Wendy and Elena screamed in fear as Uthma and Redhollow fell downward into the darkness below the Juggernaut vat, clinging to whatever they could on the severed head. When it finally crashed, they groaned in pain, clutching their injured bodies.

Redhollow was the first to get onto his hands and knees, locating his scythe. He wiped blood from the side of his mouth, panting. "Hey Uthma...You al-?"

The ninja gasped as a boot slammed into his back, crushing him flat against the ground, coughing up more blood.

Uthma looked to the sudden shriek and his eyes widened as he saw Sise-Neg.

"Well, well...you've defeated Juggernaut," the lord of Ratayu said in a flat voice. He stomped on Redhollow harder and Uthma winced. "Congratulations...but now you die."

Uthma reacted on instinct, punching the air with his Zenoir arm as the energy wave of the Cyber Seru Sword suddenly shot out. The projectiles collided with each other, illuminating the entire dark basement chamber, causing a rather large explosion down below. As he threw the fireball, Uthma dived away, tucking his Cyber Seru arm in to avoid any potential danger. The explosion heated his back and singed some of his clothing, but he ended up alright.

The Cyber Seru Sword absorbed most of the explosive impact, but the force of the collision still threw Sise-Neg back against a nearby wall. Redhollow screamed in pain as he was electrocuted and burned at the same time. Because the Cyber Seru Sword had been near him, he wasn't struck with anything fatal, but it was still painful.

When Uthma realized what happened, he snatched the Astral Sword up, turning towards Sise-Neg, who was beginning to get to his feet.

"I see," Sise-Neg said, chuckling. He twirled the Cyber Seru Sword in his hand. "Killing you won't be as easy as I thought."

The lord of Ratayu fired off two more waves of electricity. Uthma gritted his teeth but brought the Astral Sword in front of him. The purple blade easily dissipated the waves without leaving a scratch on Uthma or the sword. Sise-Neg followed the projectile attack with rapid overhead slashes.

Uthma was a bit wounded from the fall, but he managed just fine. The sheer size of the Astral Sword allowed the mercenary to gain defensive advantages without exerting much energy.

When Sise-Neg's assault began to tire, Uthma jumped at the opportunity to change to his own assault. The Astral Sword swung horizontally, pushing the Cyber Seru Sword to the side. He could've attempted a stab at that point, but Sise-Neg might've been able to shoot off one more wave in that window - one that would kill Uthma. He couldn't take kind of chance. Not yet.

Uthma recalled the lessons he had learned in his odd dream the other night. The green figure was able to keep the upper hand offensively by utilizing speed, not strength. While the Astral Sword had plenty of the latter, Uthma was going to have to find a way to give it the former in the tiniest amount of time. For now he just kept attacking, making use of the Astral Sword's range and size to keep Sise-Neg from getting an opportunity to attack.

The back and forth lasted for several more minutes. The Cyber Seru Sword was much weaker than the Astral Sword, but faster and it could be manipulated into more attack styles. It also had the constant threat of a fatal energy wave being fired off if given enough time and space for a full swing. On the other hand, the Astral Sword was incredibly powerful, and its size gave it the advantage of also being used as a shield. Uthma could even use it to block in Sise-Neg's weapon in order to control where the swords clashed. It seemed that neither had the clear advantage.

Not until Sise-Neg made the mistake of trying to end the battle too early.

The lord of Ratayu felt his knees and arms beginning to tire. He could not continue fighting at peak for long. No, he had to end the battle now. He took a deep breath and hopped backwards, out of the Astral Sword's range. He whipped the Cyber Seru Sword in front of him, calling forth the deadly energy wave within it. The wave crackled in the air, and shot straight at Uthma.

The mercenary was caught off guard, and did the first thing that came to mind - he swung the Astral Sword in front of him as quickly as he could manage.

The Astral Sword and energy wave collided right in front of Uthma. The resulting wave forced the weapon from Uthma's hand, and it twirled right at Sise-Neg.

The Astral Sword easily removed the Cyber Seru Sword from Sise-Neg's hand...by slicing the arm entirely off at the elbow.

The lord of Ratayu howled in agony as he fell against the wall behind him, clutching his severed arm. He was panting heavily and rapidly, and starting to lose consciousness - maybe even his life.

No...he had one more trick up his sleeve.

Sise-Neg wrapped his good arm around hi back and located the Chaos Breaker. He slid it on and charged at Uthma, who was now weaponless.

Uthma crouched down, clenching his Cyber Seru fist. He narrowed his eyes and exhaled, repeating the motion he had imagined in his night's sleep. The flames licked at the Zenoir hand, crackling in the air as he brought the artificial appendage up. His legs worked like springs, pushing him up and into perfect postion. As the burning fist struck Sise-Neg on the jaw, Uthma couldn't help but roar, "TORNAAAAAAADO FLAAAAAAAAME!"
