Leader. White man. Atheist. Treats his body like a temple. Egotistical. Has a way with the ladies. Bit arrogant. Slacks off. Doesn't take school seriously. Gives dope speeches. Suspended lawyer.
Britta Perry
Former activist. White lady. Atheist. Comes off as intelligent. Has lotsa pride. Feminist. Not all that popular with the ladies. Involved in causes like protests and stuff. Often screws things up. Bit of a buzzkill.
Abed Nadir
Nerd. Polish man. Muslim. Walking pop culture encyclopedia. Poor social skills. Has a lot of meta-humor (like breaking the fourth wall by referencing they're in a TV show). Makes connections to TV shows and movies.
Shirley Bennet
Mother. Black lady. Christian. Like big time. Devout. Very motherly to the group. Passive-aggressive. Wants to start a baking business. Also has dat sassy black lady side.
Annie Edison
Star student. White girl. Jewish. Youngest in the group. Over-achiever. Loves the school and tries to get involved. Was once addicted to Adderall. Kinda bossy.
Troy Barnes
Manchild. Black boy. Jehova's Witness. Former star quarterback. Best friends with Abed. Starts embracing childish, nerdy side. Overly emotional. Bit naive.
Pierce Hawthorne
Old dude. White man. Neo-Buddhist. Millionaire. Goes to school cuz he's bored. Racist. Uses lotsa stereotypes. Arrogant. Out-of-touch with modern stuff. Tries to fit in.
Some of that stuff is seen more in Seasons 2 and 3, but if you're gonna skip Season 1, that should at least tell you who's who.
