Requiring instructions
Requiring instructions
This is my first time playing Legaia 2 on the emulator, and I'm pretty sure there are a few things that are off here. For instance, the intro has vertical black lines covering it. I can still see the intro, but these lines are still kind of obstructing the view. Also, the game at some instances lag a little. I haven't continued into the game yet, 'cause one, I don't wanna end up reaching a point where a critical problem hits; and two, I'd rather wait for replies from the forums here so that I could play the game perfectly fine.
Also, any advice on adjustments to make the experience better - like do a few adjustments to the emulator to, say, make the graphics look better - are welcome.
Edit: Welp, I found another problem. Not sure if I'm gonna get any advice on it either, but I might as well try to hit two birds with one stone: I try to play YuGiOh GX Tag Force Evolution on the emulator, but right before the intro, the game crashes. Don't recall at all how I dealt with this before.

Re: Requiring instructions
Just to check, have you made sure your emulator settings match or closely match the ones I setup in the sticky post? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=97 Those helped me at the time. Know that different video plugins might work better depending on your video card too. But it's worth a try.

Couldn't get past this part:K73SK wrote:Just to check, have you made sure your emulator settings match or closely match the ones I setup in the sticky post? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=97 Those helped me at the time. Why? Because only the boldened parts are what I managed; they were already there by default. Everything else doesn't show up; I may have multiple options for the plugins, but I can't find those specific plugins that you specified.Go back to the emulator, and click config--->Plugin/BIOS selector. Here are the plugins I am using from the dropdown menu's:
GS: GSdx 3693 (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.16 [gsdx-sse2-r3878]
PAD: LilyPad svn (r3878) 0.10.0 [lilypad-r3878]
SPU2: SPU2-X r3702m 1.4.0 [spu2-x-r3878]
CDVD: Linuz Iso CDVD 0.9.0 [cdvdiso-r 3878]
USB: USBnull Driver 0.7.0 [USBnull]
FW: FWnull Driver 0.6.0 [FWnull]
DEV9: DEV9null Driver 0.5.0 [DEV9null]

GSdx: http://pcsx2.net/download/viewcategory/ ... ified.html
LilyPad svn: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-LilyPad-0-10-0
SPU2-X: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-SPU2-X-v2
As for Linuz Iso, that should have also been on there by default. Maybe they deleted it since the version I used during that guide. However, as long as you're reading an ISO successfully, I doubt it would be an issue.

Re: Requiring instructions
For the LilyPad and the SPU plugins, after extracting them from the zipfile, I just copy-paste, right? What of the GSdX? Do I extract all of the extracted zips and copy-paste all of the extracted files, or just extract the 1.14 one only and copy-paste that one only? I iz stupid and confused. DON'T JUDGE MEH.K73SK wrote:GSdx: http://pcsx2.net/download/viewcategory/ ... ified.html

Re: Requiring instructions
I would just extract the latest verison (1.14). If it doesn't work, you can try a couple of the latest ones, but I wouldn't keep your bets on one working earlier on if the latest ones don't work.
But yeah, just copy/paste into the plugins folder and then start the emulator up. Should pick up on them automatically

Re: Requiring instructions
First off, the 1.14 was the latest. And second off, I did it, but it seemed like it didn't work; the intro still had the lines obscuring it. I didn't stick around to see the rest of the faults still there. Is it possible nothing changed because I chose "Copy but keep both files"?K73SK wrote:I would just extract the latest verison (1.14). Re: Requiring instructions
I know it was the latest, that's what I said lol. Was just answering your question
If you do a "copy but keep both files", Windows just renames the new files with extended numbers. For example: file.txt and file (1).txt... Or something like that. So if they're the exact same file, it won't make a difference if you choose the original or copy for the plugin.
It's just likely that those particular video plugins won't work for your video card like it did for the one I had way back then. In fact, there's a chance that those settings and plugins won't even work for me anymore since I don't have that video card anymore.
The best bet if none of those work is to just Google and find the best plugins for the emulator and grab them from the forums they're shared on. Then see if they work. Basically what I did when setting up my epsxe and pcsx2

Find out what works best for you based on this ^K73SK wrote: The best bet if none of those work is to just Google and find the best plugins for the emulator and grab them from the forums they're shared on. Then see if they work. Basically what I did when setting up my epsxe and pcsx2
