Somewhere around there. I always have to play several rounds of Baka Fighter to earn the tokens. I'd never get enough money to buy them all that way. >_<redhollowlives999 wrote:i hate that.... lucky its like 50-100 coins in the counter right?Sise-Neg wrote:That Soru would put Gordon Ramsay in the dust. Re: Sol Tower
I remember both getting stuck and loving Sol when I first played it. I was pretty new to RPGs at the time, plus young, dumb, and gung-ho carelessness! Was a bad a combo, but somehow I loved Sol. I remember loving just grinding for money on the lower floors, thinking Gaza was the baddest of the bad asses and that he looked cool, dying on Gaza even after grinding, and never buying that Life Grail I wanted so bad ;_;

It's natural to love Sol. It's got an arena, a disco, a comedy club, slot machines, and one of the toughest bosses in the game!

Re: Sol Tower
Is it bad that I find Gaza 1 to be harder than Gaza 2? Just because Astral Slash can one-shot a party member from full health, something that none of Gaza 2's attacks do.
From my experience, Astral Slash does about 1400 damage, while Gaza 2's attacks top out at around 1100...

Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

Re: Sol Tower
No, I also think Gaza 1 is harder than Gaza 2.
Re: Sol Tower
Yeah, Songi didn't really beef him up that much. Good thing too, that fight is far from a save point if you died! And you'd have to do the puzzle if you had to restart too 9.9

Re: Sol Tower
Not necessarily. You can, and I have, go through the entire bottom part of Sol Tower, open Sage's Gate, and get through the puzzle to Warrior's Square, all before defeating Gaza 1 and getting the Genesis Seedling.
Strangely enough, if you do this, after you hear from Dr. Usha's hologram, Gala still mentions the Genesis Seedling all the same as though you had beaten Gaza 1.
This is surprising, since the dialogue in Octam, when you read the four books and get to the elevator, does change depending on whether or not the party has talked to Sashia or not.
There's also a change in dialogue when you first meet Dr. Usha depending on whether or not you have been to Buma and attempted (in vain) to revive the Genesis Trees there.
