I've never come close to maxing all Seru magic either, even for one character, and I've obtained legit Juggernaut multiple times.

Is there a good strategy for getting lots of fishing points at Vidna? I know that at Buma the Charger is a common fish that gets in the ~80 range consistently, so I can get somewhere in the 9-10K / hour range at Buma with the Legendary Rod. However, with only the Old Rod and at Vidna's fishing pond, I am not cognizant of the optimal strategy to get that War God Icon. Any tips to share to the rest of us?
Do not question yourself with the why or the how. I simply am, and that is all you need to know.

The first time I did it just catching jacks hahahaa...like 30 points per fish repeat repeat....repeat haha(but it's really not so bad just super long and boring, these fish are so easy to reel in it's not difficult at all and you get jacks like 95% with a light lure). However after scouring the internet for information on fishing I felt like I knew everything but someone said do left square right x. It was in like a long list of cheats which aren't really tested so I didn't think it was real but I was fishing and gave it the benefit of the doubt and it works like a charm. Seems like it was the normal lure in Vidna would give almost nonstop spikefish. Like at least 80% of my catches were spikefish(or maybe it was octoban with heavy lure can't remember for sure) with the rare high charger or very rare fly pie. So that is how I got it the second time, nonstop spikefish. Honestly though it's so much easier with the better rods though. Legendary rod at buma with the right lure can get almost pure devourer's/lippians. Or...if you are really looking for a challenge(and to lose a lure or two) you can go to Vidna with the legendary rod and a heavy lure. Use this trick and every 15 minutes or so you will hook a Barabara...Now these may be the best point fish but they are not worth fishing for to get the fastest points. They can be a sense of achievement though. The hardest Barabaras I've reeled in really gave me a struggle.

A technique to reel in that I use is usually just tapping square as fast as I can. I move my rod around with the directional buttons cause I'm pretty sure there's a trick to moving your rod the right way when the fish is swimming a certain way but I don't know what it is so I find some decent success in just moving it around randomly when the fish changes direction. Obviously try harder and get a higher tension when they are really far out there so they don't break the line due to being too far but when they are closer I usually leave the tension about empty before every tap since there is no reason to risk having it high with more chance to break the line. Expect battles with big fish especially Barabas to last several minutes. Barabas usually don't get reeled in until their life is really low or even depleted.
Death doth rain....Death doth reign

Fastest way to rake in fishing points(about 1,000/minute aprox.)

Yes, actually there is =)

The best fish at vidna is "Baraba" if im not mistaken.
I've never catch this fish ever.

The one i caught was always "SPIKE FISH" with point ranged from 140 - 170 with 100% probability.
Here's how i use the technique.

With this technique, i ALWAYS get 100% good fish
- Spike Fish - normal lure ( Vidna )
- Lippian - heavy lure ( Buma )

NOT The best fish, but it help to get those good and shiny accesories faster
